ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo observe the therapeutic efficacy of multidirectional needling plus rehabilitation in treating post-stroke foot drop.MethodSixty patients with post-stroke foot drop were randomized into a treatment group and a control group. Thirty subjects in the treatment group were intervened by multidirectional needling plus rehabilitation; the other 30 subjects in the control group were intervened by rehabilitation training. The two groups were both treated for 2 months prior to efficacy evaluation.Result The two groups both showed improvement in foot drop symptoms, while the efficacy in the treatment group was superior to thatin the control group (P<0.05). The two groups showed improvement to different extents after treatment (P<0.01).Conclusion Multidirectional needling plus rehabilitation can significantly improve post-stroke foot drop and promote the recovery of function.
