ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the mechanism of Danning Tablet on intestinal flora migration to eliminate biliary inflammation and prevent gallstone formation. Methods 104 cases of cholelithiasis admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Medicine were treated by choledocholithiasis but the master tube was cut and T tube drainage was performed from January 2014 to December 2016. Within a month did not take gallbladder drugs. Randomly divided into the Danning group and the control group, Danning group in addition to conventional treatment of biliary tract after surgery, in the first 2 days after starting to drink liquid according to the instruction manual dose of oral Danning tablets;the control group was given only biliary surgery After routine care, avoid taking gall bladder drugs. All patients were collected on the 7th day and the 14 th day after operation, about 100mL fasting T-tube was collected. Pay attention to the day before the collection of bile T tube pre-clamp to prevent the drainage of T tube affect the bile enterohepatic circulation. Detection of bile composition in the flora, observed before and after the flora differences, long-term follow-up of cholelithiasis recurrence. Results:The changes of the components before and after treatment:On the seventh day, the two groups of HS and UCB%were higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (<0.05) . On the 14th day in the treatment group, the three items of TBS, UCB%and HS were higher than the control group, but CH, LI and Z were lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant ( <0.05) . The trend of stone formation before and after treatment:Compared with UCB%in control group, there was no significant change in LI and Z, but the HS value decreased, the difference was statistically significant ( <0.05) . There was no significant change of HS and UCB%in the treatment group, but the LI and Z values decreased, the difference was statistically significant (<0.05) . Conclusion Dan Ning Tablets can prevent cholesterol gallstone formation by regulating the intestinal flora, and affect the cholesterol content in bile , that plays a important role in prevention of cholesterol gallstone.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>BACKGROUND</b>To compare the clinicopathological features and prognosis between younger and aged patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>We analyzed the outcome of 451 HCC patients underwent liver resection, transcatheter arterial chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation, respectively. Then risk factors for aged and younger patients' survival were evaluated by multivariate analysis, respectively.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The patients who were older than 55 years old were defined as the older group. The overall survival for aged patients was significantly worse than those younger patients. The younger patients had similar liver functional reserve but more aggressive tumor factors than aged patients. Cox regression analysis showed that the elevated levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (Wald χ2 = 3.963, P = 0.047, hazard ratio [HR] =1.453, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.006-2.098), lower albumin (Wald χ2 = 12.213, P < 0.001, HR = 1.982, 95% CI: 1.351-2.910), tumor size (Wald χ2 = 8.179, P = 0.004, HR = 1.841, 95% CI: 1.212-2.797), and higher alpha-fetoprotein level (Wald χ2 = 4.044, P = 0.044, HR = 1.465, 95% CI: 1.010-2.126) were independent prognostic factors for aged patients, while only elevated levels of AST (Wald χ2 = 14.491, P < 0.001, HR = 2.285, 95% CI: 1.493-3.496) and tumor size (Wald χ2 = 21.662, P < 0.001, HR = 2.928, 95% CI: 1.863-4.604) were independent prognostic factors for younger patients.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Age is a risk factor to determine the prognosis of patients with HCC. Aged patients who have good liver functional reserve are still encouraged to receive curative therapy.</p>

ABSTRACT

Emodin is an effective active ingredient extracted from Chinese herbal medicine, which has the function of antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and scavenging oxygen free radicals, inhibiting platelet aggregation, improving microcirculation, protecting various organs and tissues as well as a wide range of anti-tumor effect. Primary biliary gallbladder is a common malignant tumor resection rate and lack of effective adjuvant treatment. It has been confirmed that emodin has broad spectrum antitumor effect, whereas, whether it has curative effect in the treatment of gallbladder carcinoma there is no reliable clinical trials confirmed that its resistance to gallbladder carcinoma function needs further experimental research. In this review, we report the research progress of emodin anti-gallbladder carcinoma.

ABSTRACT

Objective: to investigate the liver-injury of the SD rats in autologus 01-thotopic liver transplatation using Meglumine Diatrizoate and Omnipaque


Methods: the portal veins of 60 healthy SD rats were perfused to set up orthotopic liver autotransplatation models. Then the external drainages of rats' bile duct were built up by bile duct cannula. The ALT and AST in blood serum were detected 24h and 48h after the operation respectively using the recommended dose of Meglumine Dia- trizoate, Omnipaque and normal saline. The blank trial group and simlpe operation group were the control group


Results: the ALT in the SD rats with orthotopic liver autotransplatation are higher than that in the blank trial group there is no significant difference between the blank trial group with the normal saline and simple operation group. Although there is significant difference between the blank trial group with the Meglumine Diatrizoate and the Omnipaque group. The bile duct angiography were performed after 24h and 48h. The AST in the SD rats with orthotopic liver autotransplatation are higher than that in the blank trial group;there is no significant difference between the blank trial group and simple operation group. But there is significant difference between the blank trial group with the Meglumine Diatrizoate and the Omnipaque group; there is significant difference after 24h between the blank trial group and the normal saline group; however there is no significant difference after 48h- between the blank trial group and the normal saline group


Conclusion: meglumine Diatrizoate and Omnipaque can damage the liver of SD rats in autologous orthotopic liver transplantation during bile duct angiography. The damage from Meglumine Diatrizoate is much more than Omnipaque
