ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical effect of tonsil temperature-controlled bipolar radiofrequency ablation technology in the treatment of snoring and mild-moderate-obstructive sleep apnea hyponea syndrome(OSAHS). METHODS Forty-six patients were selected,of which 17 were snoring and 29 were mild-moderate-obstructive sleep apnea-hyponea syndrome cases. Tonsil temperature-controlled bipolar radiofrequency with varying probes was used for all patients. RESULTS A follow-up of 6~18 months was carried out. 9 of 17 snoring cases resulted in recovery. The procedure was effective in 6 cases and not effective in 2 cases. 15 of 29 OSAHS cases resulted in recovery. The procedure was effective in 10 cases and not effective in 4 cases.
