ABSTRACT
The in vitro anti-bacterial and anti-fungal activity of Mollugo oppositifolia Linn. [Family: Aizoaceae] root extracts had been investigated against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. The petroleum ether and methanol extracts of Mollugo oppositifolia Linn. showed high degree of activity against all test organisms. The inhibitory effects of extracts are very close and identical in magnitude and are comparable with that of standard antibiotics used
