ABSTRACT
The immunoglobulin class and subclass were characterised in 103 patients with monoclonal kammopathy in Kuwait. It was found that 48.5% had IgG; 13.5% IgA; 10% IgM and 1% IgE. 27% of the patients had free light chains in the urine. The light chains were predominently A. Therefore, in Kuwait, the possibility of amyloid disease complicating monoclonal gammopathy should always be borne in mind
