ABSTRACT

In this study 57 cases of coronary artery disease [CAD] were reviewed regarding the potential significance of some leading skin and external signs which are probably associated with this disease, Thirty two patients had myocardial infarction, seven patients had unstable angina alone and 18 patients had combination of unstable angina with hypertension While majority of the patients had nicotine staining of fingers and or teeth, only minority of them showed corneal arcus and /or xanthelasma. A group of 70 control patients with same age range was employed for comparison

A comparative study was conducted using five parameters on 160 patients to determine the efficiancy and the overall advantages of single-dose long-acting metoprolol-SA over that of divided-dose regimen. Clinical and treadmill test mean were employed in either case for this purpose

ABSTRACT

A fifty-one-year old female patient presented to Karama Teaching Hospital in May, 1986 with clinical picture of congestive heart failure due to severe anemia. She had some atypical features of multiple myeloma with genemlised lymphadenopathy. Her Investigations confirmed the presence of multiple myeloma complicated by Kaposi sarcoma. Three months after discharge from hospital, the patient died at home
