ABSTRACT

Pemphigoid gestationis [PG] is a rare autoimmune bullous dermatosis associated with pregnancy. The authors describe a Saudi 26 year-old, G2Pl, who presented during the third trimester of her pregnancy with a generalized pruritic bullous and targetoid eruption. Routine histological examination and direct immunoflourescence [DIF] confirmed the diagnosis of PG. The patient responded well to prednisolone treatment. The pregnancy outcome and course of the disease are discussed. This is the third case of PG reported from Saudi Arabia
