Calceolariaceae endémicas del Perú

La familia Calceolariaceae es reconocida en el Perú por presentar dos géneros y 121 especies (Brako & Zarucchi, 1993; Ulloa Ulloa et al., 2004), principalmente arbustos y hierbas. En este trabajo reconocemos 101 endemismos, la mayoría del género Calceolaria. Los taxones endémicos se encuentran principalmente en las regiones Mesoandina, Puna Húmeda y Seca y Páramo, entre los 300 y 4500 m de altitud. Veintisiete taxones endémicos se encuentran representados dentro del Sistema Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado.

The Calceolariaceae are represented in Peru by two genera and 121 species (Brako & Zarucchi, 1993; Ulloa Ulloa et al., 2004), mainly shrubs and herbs. Here we recognize 101 endemic taxa, most of them in the genus Calceolaria. Endemic taxa are found mostly in the Mesoandean, Humid and Dry Puna, and Paramo regions, between 300 and 4500 m elevation. Twenty seven endemic taxa have been recorded within the Peruvian parks system.

Gesneriaceae endémicas del Perú

La familia Gesneriaceae es reconocida en el Perú por presentar 31 géneros y 141 especies (Brako & Zarucchi, 1993; Ulloa Ulloa et al., 2004), mayormente hierbas y arbustos. En este trabajo reconocemos como endemismos 36 especies y tres variedades en doce géneros. El género Besleria es el más rico en especies endémicas. Las Gesneriaceae endémicas ocupan las regiones Bosques Húmedos Amazónicos y de Bosques Muy Húmedos Montanos, entre los 100 y 2900 m de altitud. Ocho taxones endémicos de Gesneriaceae se encuentran representados dentro del Sistema Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado.

Peru's endemic Gesneriaceae are found in the Humid Lowland Amazonian Forest and Very Humid Montane Forest regions, between 100 and 2900 m elevation. Eight endemic taxa have been recorded within the Peruvian protected areas system.
