ABSTRACT
Pain relief has been recognized as an important but neglected public health issue in both developing and developed countries. In 1986, the World Health Organization released a set of guidelines under the title of 'Cancer Pain Relief'. The second edition of these guidelines was published in 1996. Due to its importance, an abridged version of these guidelines is being presented in this article

Occupational Asthma is a disease of changing proportion in developing countries. It generally occurs in people during their productive years [18-60 years] and can lead to significant morbidity and loss of productivity. Physician awareness of OA is generally inadequate. In addition diagnosis can be challenging and painstaking. With appropriate knowledge of this relatively unknown entity, disease burden can be minimized allowing patients to continue leading productive lives. This is a review article
