O uso de equipamentos de proteção individual entregraduandos de cursos da área da saúde e a contribuição das instituições formadoras / The use of personal protective equipment between graduated of the courses of the area of the health and instituitions formed's contribution

O presente estudo foi realizado com o objetivo de verificar a indicação de uso e manuseio dos equipamentos deproteção individual pelos alunos dos cursos de graduação da área de saúde e identificar a contribuição das instituições para a formação dos alunos sobre esta temática. Participaram do estudo 777 graduandos da área desaúde em instituições de ensino superior (IESs) do Estado de Goiás que cursavam o último ano. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de questionário previamente avaliado, observando-se os aspectos ético-legais. Os resultados revelam fragilidade no conhecimento dos alunos quanto à indicação de uso e manuseio dos EPIs, apesar de a maioria afirmar que os adota rotineiramente em suas atividades práticas. Verificou-se que várias disciplinas ao longo da graduação abordam a temática, porém o fazem de forma pontual, descontextualizada e sem coerência. Para um mesmo EPI foram identificadas diferentes ndicações e formas de uso. Identificou-se fragilidade no processo ensino-prendizagem nas IESs em estudo quanto à construção do conhecimento sobre o uso de EPIs. O estudo traz uma relação entre o conhecimento, a prática e o ensino dessas instituições.

Study accomplished with objective of verify handling and use’s indications of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to identifying the contribution of the institutions for the students' formation on this theme. They participated in the study 777 graduated of the area of health in University of the State of Goiás – Brazil. The data were obtained through questionnaire observing the ethical-legal aspects. The obtained results reveal the fragility in the student's knowledge about handling and use’s indications in spite of most to affirm to use the PPE routinely in their practical activities. It was verified that several disciplines along the graduation approach the theme. However, in a punctual way, out of context and without coherence. And for a same PPE different indications and use forms were adopted. We identified fragility of the process teaching-learning in University as the knowledge’s construction on the use of PPE. It’s brings a relationship among the knowledge, the practice and the teaching of the same ones.
