ABSTRACT

Os autores apresentam um caso de hemorragia digestiva alta, associado a lesao neoplasica primaria na fossa posterior, em uma criança de cinco anos de idade, com quadro de hipertensao intracraniana que evoluiu para obito, por sangramento digestivo. A relacao existente entre as lesoes agudas da mucosa gastroduodenal (LAMGD) e doenças do sistema nervoso central (SNC) Ú um fato ha muito conhecido. Cushing, em 1932, observou pela primeira vez hipersecrecao gastrica e aceleracao da motilidade gastrintestinal em pacientes portadores de traumatismo cranioencefalico e neoplasias encefalicas. O tratamento proposto consiste no uso de bloqueadores anti-H2 da mucosa gastrica e, se necessaria, alternativa cirurgica.

The occurrence of cerebral metastasis due to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is uncommon. The authors present a case of cerebral metastasis as a primary manifestation of HCC without pulmonary involvement. The dissemination pathways, the intervention and the prognosis are discussed
