ABSTRACT

The syndrome of diffuse intravascular coagulation or DIC was related with high perinatal mortality & morbidity. One of the most common cause of clinically significant DIC is placental abruption Usually, DIC complicates this obstetrical accident in approximately 30% of cases. The majority of placental abruption occured late pregnancy. But, recently we have experienced a case of DIC in a patient with placental abruption in 16 weeks of gestationl age and reviewed it briefly

ABSTRACT

Spontaneous rupture of symphysis pubis during delivery is rare condition. The overall incidence is 1/600~1/30000 deliveries. The Separation was associated with considerable pain, swelling and tenderness over the symphysis pubis and confirmed roentgenographically. The condition was treated conservatively with bed rest, mostly in the lateral decubitus position, aided by a restrictive pelvic binder. Mobilization was initiated after pain relieved. Recovery can be expected to be complete. We present a case of spontaneous rupture of symphysis pubis during delivery with a brief review of the literature.

ABSTRACT

The fetus papyraceus is a remarkably mumified fetus and the complication is rare in multiple pregnancy. If one fetus of multiple pregnancy died in uterus remote from term and other fetus did not, the fetus with placenta is compressed by the membrane of living fetus in uterus and then the dead fetus becomes a fetus papyraceus. Recently we had experienced two cases of fetus papyraceus in twin pregnancy at our department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Keimyung University School of Medicine. We present these cases with brief literatures.
