ABSTRACT

Ten cases of coexisting corneal and lens opacities were operated upon by the triple procedure.The technique comprises removal of the diseased corneal disc followed by a techniques for the open-sky anterior capsulectomy. Nucleus delivery was achieved by spearing by two needles. Residual cortex was removed by combination of aspiration, irrigation aspiration, sponge dissection and direct peeling with forceps. In seven uncomplicated cases posterior chamber lens were introduced. In three cases with forceps. In seven uncomplicated cases posterior chamber lens were introduced. In three cases with forceps. In seven uncomplicated cases posterior chanber lens were introduced. In three cases with vitreous loss, anterior vitrectomy was done followed by anterior chamber lens implantation. Then the donor disc was sutured using ruing 10/0 monofilament sutures. The results were satisfactory in eight out of the ten cases
