ABSTRACT

Puerarin injection is commonly used in clinical treatment of coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, retinal artery, vein occlusion, sudden deafness and so on. This paper is aimed to evaluate the safety of puerarin injection in clinical use and explore the related factors that may cause its adverse reactions (ADRs), so as to find the warning signal of safety medication in time, put forward early warning, make early judgment and treatment, and ensure the safety of drug use. By strengthening surveillance, the best medication plan was established to prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions of puerarin injection and enhance people's awareness on the safety of puerarin injection. Database were searched to collect literature related to ADRs of puerarin injection. The data were extracted and analyzed by decision tree with treeage software and ² test was used to verify the data. A total of 62 papers involving 129 cases were included. The results showed that ADRs occurred mostly in patients aged 50-79 years, with the immune system and blood system accounting for the majority (88.3%), and ADRs occurred mostly 48 h after drug administration (61.1%). The severity of ADRs was not related to the dosage of puerarin, but it was related to the choice of the infusion solvent. In puerarin injection, most of the ADRs were moderate or severe (64.3%), 13 out of 129 cases were of death. Therefore, the indications and methods of use should be strictly controlled, and the allergic history of patients should be carefully questioned before medication to strengthen the monitoring of drug use.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of total hip arthroplasty ( THA) in the treatment of hip osteoarthritis ( HOA) and its effect on the quality of life of the patients. Methods Thirty?seven patients ( 42 hips) who underwent THA surgery in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2011 to December 2015 were enrolled in this study. The function of hip joint, hip joint activity and the quality of life of the patients and other indicators were observed before operation,at 3 months,6 months after operation. Results The Harris scores of 37 patients before operation, at 3 months, 6 months after operation were (72.0±7.4) points,(86.1±8.3) points,(45.8±9.5)points respectively, the difference was statistically significant among the three groups ( F=71. 302,P<0. 05) . At 3 months and 6 months after operation, the score significantly improved compared to that before operation ( P<0. 05);At 3 months and 6 months after operation, the angles of the hips in 37 patients were significantly improved ( F=144. 921,41. 195, 351. 648,372. 766, 317. 518, 226. 381, P<0. 05 ) . The hip function was evaluated at 6 months after the operation, and 37 patients (42 hips) were evaluated,26 hips (61. 90%) were excellent. 12 hips (28. 57%) were good,4 hips ( 9. 52%) were fine, and 0 poor hips. At 6 months after operation, the SF?36 scale evaluation of quality of life, body pain, emotional restrictions, mental health, physical limitations, activities, social activities, vitality, general health, physical health, mental health scores were significantly improved compared with the preoperative ones ( F=19. 731, 19. 142, 11. 303, 22. 63821. 563, 20. 936, 13. 372, 14. 985, 6. 773, 13. 028, P<0. 05) . Conclusion THA treatment for patients with HOA can significantly improve the function of the hip joint and improve the quality of life of the patients.

ABSTRACT

Recently, programmed cell death 1/programmed cell death 1 ligand(PD-1/PD-L1)blockade has elicited clinical re-sponses and long-term remissions in a subset of patients with a broad spectrum of cancers. Unfortunately,a substantial number of pa-tients failed to respond to PD1/PD-L1 blockade. In this paper,we summarize our current understanding of the key factors accounting for the difference on treatment, and evaluate the dependability of several potential predictive biomarkers guiding PD1/PD-L1 blockade in cancer therapy. We also discuss a variety of combined treatments based on PD1/PD-L1 blockade.

ABSTRACT

AIM To analyze the optimal "Huohou" (fermentation time and temperature) of fermentation process of Jianqu Leaven [fermentation product composed of medicinal materials (Artemisiae annuae Herba,Menthae haplocalycis Herba,Angelicae dahuricae Radix, etc.),wheat bran and flour).METHODS The colors and odors of twelve batches of samples during fermentation process were detected by machine vision and electronic nose technologies, respectively. The contents of total sugar and total protein, together with activities of amylase, protease and lipase, were determined to analyze constituent changes.RESULTS The content of total sugar was significantly decreased, but that of total protein was slightly increased, and the activities of three enzymes were increased to different degrees. At temperature of 28-30 ℃ and relative humidity of 70%-80%,the optimal fermentation terminal point of Jianqu Leaven was 30-36 h.CONCLUSION The Jianqu Leaven obtained by this fermentation method is totally covered with white mould, and has wine flavor, which meets the requirement of traditional processing.
