ABSTRACT
Objetivo: Analisar a incorporação das Equipes de Saúde Bucal (ESB) no PSF a partir da visão dos usuários em um município de pequeno porte do Estado da Bahia. Método: A amostra foi definida pela técnica de saturação de dados, totalizando 47 indivíduos. A partir de uma entrevista semi-estruturada coletaram-se as informações oferecidas por usuários que tiveram acesso aos serviços odontológicos na primeira quinzena de Julho/2010 nas unidades de saúde da zona urbana. Os dados foram transcritos e analisados utilizando-se a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: Os usuários, em sua maioria de adultos jovens do sexo feminino, sem emprego fixo e de baixo poder aquisitivo, relatam que buscam o serviço odontológico com finalidade de resolver seus problemas de saúde, por não terem acesso a serviços particulares e pela proximidade das unidades de saúde de suas residências. Demonstram estar satisfeitos com os serviços prestados, pois a existência de atendimento clínico é considerada um fator positivo. Mas destacam como dificuldades as filas e a quantidade insuficiente de fichas para atender à demanda. Conclusão: A percepção sobre saúde para estes indivíduos vai além de questões biológicas, refletem ações sociais que não devem ser deixadas de lado pela ESB. Com isso, o planejamento de ações deve ser baseado no contexto da família por meio da prevenção, promoção e recuperação da saúde da população adscrita estabelecendo maior acesso ao atendimento odontológico, acolhimento e vínculo da equipe. O conhecimento da percepção dos usuários possibilita a reconstrução de novas práticas odontológicas seguindo os princípios do Programa de Saúde da Família (PSF).
Objective: To analyze the incorporation of the oral health teams in the Family Health Program from the perspective of the users in a small-size city of the State of Bahia, Brazil. Method: The sample was defined by the data saturation technique, totalizing 47 individuals. During a semi-structured interview, information was collected from users that had access to the dental services in the first two weeks of July/2010 at the public health units of the urban area. Data were transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis technique. Results: The users, mostly low-income young female adults without regular jobs, reported that they seek the public dental service because they do not have access to private clinics and because the public health units are close to their homes. They demonstrated to be satisfied with the services offered at the units because the existence of clinical treatment is considered as a positive factor. However, they pointed out difficulties such as waiting lines and insufficient number of consultations/day to afford the demand. Conclusion: The perception about health for these individuals extrapolates the biological questions, and reflects social actions that should not be overlooked by the oral health team. Therefore, the planning of actions should be based on the family context by means of prevention, promotion and recovery of health of the adjoined population, establishing a wider access to dental care, welcoming policies and bond with the health team. Knowing the perception of users permits the reconstruction of new dental practices following the principles of the Family Health Program.
