ABSTRACT
A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender e dar visibilidade às políticas públicas de esporte e lazer desenvolvidas no município de Tocantinópolis-TO. A metodologia deste estudo se caracteriza por uma abordagem qualitativa de tipo exploratório, por meio da análise documental. Dentre os principais resultados, percebese que a gestão municipal, por meio da Secretaria da Juventude, Esporte e Lazer, desenvolve diferentes projetos para comunidade, os quais enfocam predominantemente a prática esportiva, voltando-se, sobretudo, para os atletas amadores da cidade e da região. Conclui-se que embora esteja em conformidade com a Constituição Federal ao fomentar o acesso às práticas de esporte e lazer enquanto direito social, a gestão deste município deveria buscar diversificar tais ofertas, na tentativa de contemplar maior diversidade da comunidade.
This research aims to understand and give visibility to public policies for sport and leisure developed in the city of Tocantinópolis-TO. The methodology of this study is characterized by an exploratory qualitative approach, through document analysis. Among the main results, it can be seen that the municipal management through the Department of Youth, Sport and Leisure, develops different projects for the community, which predominantly focus on sports practice, focusing, above all, on amateur athletes in the city and the region. It is concluded that although it is in accordance with the Federal Constitution by promoting access to sports and leisure practices as a social right, the management of this municipality should seek to diversify such offers, in an attempt to contemplate greater diversity in the community.
