ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) at different time points during the perioperative period on the recovery of gastrointestinal function after gastrointestinal malignant neoplasms surgery. Methods: Sixty-three patients who needed radical surgery for gastrointestinal tumors were randomized into a control group, treatment group 1 (postoperative EA group), and treatment group 2 (intraoperative and postoperative EA group). The control group received surgery and conventional Western medicine treatment, and treatment groups 1 and 2 received additional EA treatment at different time points. The initial flatus time after the surgery, visual analog scale (VAS) score at different time points after the surgery, the proportion of using patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) after the surgery, and the times of adding analgesics were observed in the three groups. Results: The initial flatus time after the surgery was earlier in treatment groups 1 and 2 than in the control group (P<0.05); the difference between treatment groups 1 and 2 was statistically insignificant (P>0.05). The VAS score was lower in treatment group 2 than in the control group at 6, 12, 24, and 72 h after the surgery (P<0.05); the VAS score was lower in treatment group 1 than in the control group only at 72 h after the surgery (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the rate of using PCA among the three groups (P>0.05). Regarding the times of adding analgesics, it was less in treatment group 2 than in the control group at 12 h after the surgery (P<0.05). Conclusion: Either EA during and after the surgery or only after the surgery can hasten the initial flatus and boost the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after radical resection of gastrointestinal neoplasms. Successive EA during and after the surgery should be superior to postoperative EA regarding the analgesic effect after the surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of mind map on health education of children with asthma and their parents. Methods:Ninety children with asthma admitted for the first time were divided into observation group (45 cases) and control group (45 cases) by random digits table method. The control group used the traditional health education method, and the observation group used the mind map pattern health education method. The drug compliance of the two groups was evaluated before discharge and at the 1st, 2nd,3rd month after discharge, and the satisfaction of the children and parents and therapeutic effect of the two groups were compared at the time of discharge. Results:There was no significant difference in treatment adherence between the two groups before discharge ( P > 0.05). The treatment adherence at the 1st, 2nd,3rd month after discharge was (7.22±1.31), (7.58±1.55), (7.78±2.11) points in the observation group, and (6.98±2.01), (7.01±1.58), (7.11±2.48) points in the control group, there were significant differences between the two groups ( t values were 4.426, 3.884, 5.233, all P < 0.05). The satisfaction of the children and parents was (96.01±3.45) points in the observation group, and (78.13±2.39) points in the control group, there was significant difference between the two groups ( t value was 38.223, P < 0.01). The total effective rate was 77.8%(35/45) in the observation group, and 64.4%(29/45) in the control group, there was significant difference between the two groups ( χ2 value was 4.013, P < 0.05). Conclusions:Health education integrated with mind map can effectively improve the satisfaction of children and their parents, and improve the drug adherence and therapeutic effect of children.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of model nurse election on satisfaction degree with nursing. Methods A model nurse election group was set up to carry out objective assessment, recommendation from doctors, nurses and patients, and feedback. The results in the satisfaction of doctors, nurses and patients were compared between before and after the activity. Results The satisfaction rate of doctors , nurses and patients after implementation of model nurse election were all significantly higher than before the implementation (P<0.05). Conclusion model nurse election used in the nursing management can help to improve nursing management effectiveness, drive continuous improvement of nursing quality, build harmonious doctor-patient relationship, and ultimately enhance satisfaction of doctors, nurses and patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the rehabilitative effect of simulated family intervention on hospitalized depression patients. Methods One hundred depression patients in hospital were evenly randomized into the experiment group and control group:Both groups were treated with traditional antidepressant therapy and beside, the experiment group were taken care of by family members by way of simulated family intervention and the control group by isolated nursing intervention. The two groups were compared in therapeutic effect by survey using HAMD before intervention and 3 months after that.Result After 3 months of treatment, the score by HAMD in the experiment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The simulated family intervention by family members in hospital may be effective in improving the rehabilitation of depression patients and good for their resumption to the communities.
