ABSTRACT
Com o objetivo de melhorar a cobertura do SISVAN paracrianças até cinco anos atendidas nas ESF do municípiode Montes Claros ? MG, foi executado um plano operativoconstituído de três ações: capacitação dos enfermeiros,capacitação dos agentes comunitários de saúde (ACS) einserção de acadêmicos do curso de Nutrição nas atividadesrelacionadas à Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricionaldas ESF. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo relatode experiência, envolvendo a Coordenação de Alimenta-ção e Nutrição da Secretaria de Saúde, Equipes de ESF eacadêmicos do curso de Nutrição. A implementação dessasações foi um passo significativo no desenvolvimentodas atividades de saúde e nutrição do município, já que odiagnóstico nutricional contínuo de determinada popula-ção permite a elaboração de indicadores epidemiológicos,julgados preditores para estratégias que visam à promoçãoda saúde e à prevenção de doenças e agravos.
With the objective of improving the coverage of SISVANfor children up to five years old who are attended by theFamily Health Strategy (FHS) units in the city of MontesClaros, MG, an operating plan was carried out consistingof three actions: Training for nurses and CommunityHealth Agents (CHA), and placement of students fromthe Nutrition Studies program in activities related to theFood and Nutrition Surveillance of the FHS units. This isa descriptive study reporting an experience that involvesthe Food and Nutrition Coordinator of the Departmentof Health, as well as FHS teams and students from theNutrition Studies program. The execution of theseactions was an important step in the development ofhealth and nutrition activities in this urban community,in that the ongoing nutritional diagnosis of a part ofthe population permits the development of importantepidemiological indicators seen as predictors forstrategies aimed at the promotion of health and theprevention of diseases and other disorders.
