Hypercalcemia due to parathyroid adenoma

This is a case of primary hyperparathyroidism due to a large single parathyroid adenoma [weight=8.4gm] in a 50 year old Saudi patient. He presented to King Khalid National Guard Hospital in Jeddah, with a 16 year old history of multiple medical problems related to his hypercalcemia [nephrolithiasis, psychosis, depression, weakness, fatigue, paresthesia, abdominal pain, hypertension and myocardial infarction]. Most of his symptoms were cured after a successful parathyroidectomy
