ABSTRACT

In order to examine classification criteria or the CIE-10 Chapter [quot ]Organic Mental Disorders including the symptomatics[quot ] and to verify its usefulness for the clinician, the most important aspects of the different diagnosis are reviewed and applied in 30 patients according to the type 2--A study of the protocol for field trials of the same instrument. The sample is drawn from both: the University Psychiatric Clinic and the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile. The most frequent disorders are Dementia and Delirium in their different forms. The rating confidence in most cases was very good or good and the easiness/difficulty range was very easy in most cases in their diagnosis according the instrument criteria. Several suggestions as to applicability and usefulness are presented.
