ABSTRACT
The authors discuss on five patients where the hemodinamic status had made necessary the participation of cardiologist and the indication of a cesarean section, four patients with mitral stenosis, two with intractable acute pulmonary edema and two grade IV failure which didn't respond to treatment. The fifth patient presented complex cyanotic congenital cardiopathy (tetralogy of Fallot and persistant arteral duct) with pulmonary hypertension, in risk of complications and incert evolutive potential. All mothers and children had a favorable follow-up in the postoperative period.
