ABSTRACT
Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica, con el objetivo de describir las implicaciones de la ciencia y la tecnología en algunos aspectos del Programa de Atención Materno Infantil. El inusitado desarrollo de la ciencia y la tecnología a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XX hizo brotar cambios en la vida de las personas y en la producción de conocimientos. Se consideró que muchas han sido las implicaciones de la ciencia y la tecnología en el Programa de Atención Materno infantil, relacionadas con la amplia cobertura de los médicos y enfermeras de la familia, aplicación de exámenes de tecnología avanzada y establecimiento del Programa Nacional de Inmunización, que contribuyeron a bajas tasas de mortalidad infantil(AU)
A literature review was carried out, with the objective of describing the implications of science and technology in some aspects of the Maternal and Child Care Program. The unusual development of science and technology from the second half of the twentieth century brought changes in the lives of people and in the production of knowledge. It was considered that many have been the implications of science and technology in the Maternal Child Care Program, related to the broad coverage of family doctors and nurses, application of advanced technology exams and establishment of the National Immunization Program, which contributed to low infant mortality rates(AU)
