ABSTRACT
O texto apresenta debates referentes a uma pesquisa bibliográfica que analisou produções escritas sobre o tema do abrigamento de crianças e jovens. Tal pesquisa visou cartografar as narrativas escritas sobre abrigos e convivência familiar a partir do ano 2000, quando, após dez anos da promulgação do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA), a consolidação de seus princípios na sociedade poderia ser esperada e sua implantação discutida. Dentre as categorias de análise levantadas, uma delas, ôDitos do ECA e cotidiano dos abrigosõ, problematiza as mudanças produzidas pelo Estatuto na lógica de assistência à infância, interrogando-as através das práticas cotidianas dos abrigos. As análises feitas apontam divergências entre a lei e essas práticas, qualificando o abrigo como um espaço protetor dos direitos de crianças e jovens, mas ao mesmo tempo violador desses mesmos direitos, ao infringir a lei por outros percursos.
The text presents discussions about a bibliographical research that has analyzed written productions about the subject: sheltering of children and young people. Such study aimed to cartography the written narratives about shelters and family living from the year 2000, when, after ten years of the promulgation of the Children and Adolescent Statute (ECA), the consolidation of its bases in the society could be expected and its deployment discussed. Among the categories of analysis lifted, one of them, ôECA's proposal and the daily life in the sheltersõ inquiring the changes produced by the Statute in the logic of assistance to the childhood, asking them through the daily practices of the shelters. The produced analysis shows differences between the law and these practices, qualifying the shelter as a space that protects the rights of children and young people, but also violates these same rights while breaking the law in other ways.
