ABSTRACT

Two hundred Twenty injuries which occurred in the Al-Mishrak Sulfur Establishment during 1984] were studies. Out of these, only seven injuries were registered to the Ministry of Labour and Social' Affairs as Injury due to work. The accidents occurred at different locations of the Establishment and while the workers were doing their Job. Mechanics had the highest number of injuries [34%]. the upper arms were affected in 33% of the cases, while wounds constituted the highest percentage [38.6%] No significant difference in the occurronce of injuries was found among the days of thee week while the difference was significant when the months of the year were considered. The study recommends to consider the skill of workers on employment and to inforce the regulations of health and safety at work
