ABSTRACT

The intestinal histoplasmosis is a rare entity, this is the reason because there have been described few cases around the world. These patients had diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of weight, fever and gastrointestinal bleeding. We report the case of a nine years old girl patient who was admitted to the Gastroenterology Service of the hospital “Francisco de Ycaza Bustamante”, she had digestive bleeding and intestinal invagination. I determine that histoplasma capsulatum, was the etiologic agent of the event.
