ABSTRACT
Este artigo descreve a experiência obtida pelo Centro de Engenhria Biomédica do Hospital São Vicente de Paulo de Passo Fundo (534 leitos), localizado na região norte do Rio Grande do Sul, quando resolveu efetuar manutenções externas, isto é, consertar equipamentos médicos de outras instituições de saúde da região, no próprio hospital. Desta forma está sendo possível um melhor aproveitamento da infra-estrutura, aumentando a rentabilidade do setor, além de oferecer um serviço de boa qualidade para a região.
Abstract This article describes the experience obtained by the center of biomedical engineering of São Vicente de Paulo Hospital (534 beds), which is located in the north region of Rio Grande do Sul State. The work carried out involves repairing medical equipment, inside the São Vicente de Paulo Hospital, from other health institutions located in the region. Thus, it has been possible to take advantage of he hospital facilities, increasing the rentability of the maintenance department and providing a service of good quality for de whole region
