ABSTRACT

Se determinó la frecuencia de 67 antígenos HLA de clase I (loci A, B y C) y 18 de clase II en 15 pacientes portadores del síndrome de Voght-Koyanagi-Harada, diagnosticados en los servicios de Oftalmología del Hospital General “Enrique Cabrera” y el Hospital Oftalmológico “Ramón Pando Ferrer”. Se utilizaron como controles 276 personas sanas procedentes de diferentes regiones de Cuba. Al analizar los resultados no se observó asociación entre los antígenos HLA de clases I y II y la enfermedad en la muestra de pacientes en comparación con los controles sanos.


The frequency of 67 HLA class I (loci A, B and C) antigens and of 18 HLA class II antigens was determined in 15 patients carriers of Voght-Koyanagi-Harada’s syndrome that were diagnosed in the Ophthalmology Service of “Enrique Cabrera” General Hospital and “ Ramón Pando Ferrer” Hospital. 276 persons from different regions of Cuba were used as controls. On analyzing the results, no association was found between the HLA class I and class II antigens and the disease in the sample of patients compared with the sound controls.
