ABSTRACT
Atualmente no mercado, existem muitos sistemas cerâmicos que podem ser utilizados em reabilitações anteriores, posteriores ou totais. Cada sistema apresenta suas características estéticas e de resistência, que determinam a melhor indicação do material em cada caso clínico. Este artigo descreve a reabilitação de um arco superior que apresentava múltiplas restaurações inadequadas e zonas desdentadas. Com os quesitos estéticos seriamente comprometidos, optou-se pela utilização de cerâmicas de alto conteúdo vítreo: o sistema IPS e.max Press (Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein, Alemanha).
There is a number of all-ceramic systems for use in anterior, posterior or total rehabilitation. Each system has its own esthetic and fracture resistance characteristics, which will determine their best indications. This case reports the rehabilitation of a maxillary arch presenting several inadequate restorations and edentate regions. Due to the involvement of the esthetic aspect, lithium disilicate glass-ceramics was chosen (IPS e.max Press system, Ivoclar Vivadent, Lichtenstein).
