ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to determine the different types of costs and outcomes of schistosomiasis control services. The period 1988-1992 was investigated and the prices were modified according to market prices of the year 1989. The results of this study revealed that salaries showed a continuous increase, cost of preventive aspect was much lower than others, rate of positive cases were decreasing, overall cure rate was observed to be 99.6%, very low cost per cured unit and the economic gain from implementing these services were estimated to be 6.2%
