ABSTRACT

Objective@#To understand fruit and vegetable consumption of children and associated factors during COVID-2019 control period, and to provide basis for growth and development of children.@*Methods@#In February 2020, 334 parents of children aged 2 to 15 years old from 22 provinces, cities and autonomous regions, including Hubei, Beijing, Shandong, Gansu were surveyed through the "Questionnaire Star" network questionnaire for the students’ fruit and vegatable consumption during the period of COVID-19, and Logistic regression analysis was conducted with multivariate analysis.@*Results@#Among the children, 26.4% of their vegetable consumption and 45.2% of their fruit consumption had changed. The multivariate analysis showed that inconvenient purchase (OR=6.52) were related to the decrease of children’s vegetable consumption. The 2-5 age group(OR=0.28), whether parents actively gained relevant knowledge of diet (OR=0.33) and mild epidemic risk (OR=4.35) were related to the increase of children’s vegetable consumption(P<0.05). Average monthly income of family(OR=6.27-8.39), inconvenient purchase(OR=2.93), and epidemic risk (OR=0.21-0.26) were associated with reduced fruit consumption among children(P<0.05). While gender(OR=2.20), average monthly income of family below 2 000 yuan (OR=6.94) and mild epidemic risk (OR=0.35) were associated with increased fruit consumption among children(P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#Children’s fruit and vegetable consumption were greatly affected by the inconvenience of food purchase during the period of COVID-19. Low-income families were less resilient, and their children’s food consumption was more likely to be affected. Parents’ high level of nutritional knowledge could help weaken the adverse impact of the epidemic on children’s diet.

ABSTRACT

Adenomyosis is an estrogen dependent benign gynecological disease affecting women of reproductive age causing them to have an adverse effect. Symptoms in these patients include pelvic pain, menorrhagia, abnormal uterine bleeding and infertility. It has a negative impact on a woman’s reproductive ability. The gold standard treatment for adenomyosis is hysterectomy for whom fertility is not an issue and for whom future pregnancy has no concerns, however females who wish to retain uterus for child bearing purposes the treatment seems to be very challenging. In this literature we will focus on how adenomyosis affects the reproductive outcome in women and what is its impact on the pregnancy rate also we will enlighten the pregnancy outcomes and pregnancy rate in patient with adenomyosis after various treatment Including the medical, surgical and in-vitro fertilization.

ABSTRACT

Endometrial polyps (EPs) are a frequently encountered gynecologic disease with abnormal uterine bleeding and infertility being the two common presenting problems, and hysteroscopic polypectomy is an effective method to remove them. The postoperative polyp recurrence might result in reappearance of abnormal uterine bleeding or infertility, whereas factors influencing the postoperative recurrence potential have limited data. Endometrial polyp recurrence remains a concern with recurrence rates of 2.5% to 43.6%. As such, it is critical to identify the risk factors and the preventive measures for endometrial recurrence, especially in reproductive-age women desiring future conception, to aid in clinical counselling and decision making. The recurrence of EPs is related to estrogen stimulation and endometrial hyperplasia. The progesterone-containing drugs are currently the most commonly used method to prevent the recurrence of EPs. In this article, authors aim to discuss the high-risk factors of EPs recurrence and the preventive measures for EPs recurrence. The preventive measures will focus on the combined oral contraceptives (COCs) and the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS).

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT IFN-γ (Interferon-gamma), Mx and IRF-1 (Interferon regulatory factor-1) are main immune-related genes and they play important roles in the innate immune system of vertebrates. In this study, the expression level of the three immune-related genes in twelve tissues of normal adult Japanese flounder was detected using semi-quantitative RT-PCR. Thirteen time points (3h, 6h, 9h, 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h, 60h, 72h, 84h, 96h, 108h, 120h) were selected to analyze the expression of IFN-γ, Mx and IRF-1 in spleen, head kidney, liver of Japanese flounder infected with Lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The Japanese flounder IFN-γ, Mx and IRF-1 genes were differently expressed in these tissues and had high expression levels in classical fish immune organs like spleen and head kidney. It was found that the highest expression levels of the Japanese flounder IFN-γ were detected at 24h in spleen, 36h in head kidney and 48h in liver after challenge with LPS. Interestingly, the highest expression levels of Mx in spleen and head kidney were both at 36h and IRF-1 in spleen and liver were both at 24h. The highest expression level of Mx in liver was at 48h and IRF-1 in head kidney was at 12h. The study provides a basis for further research on immune mechanism of IFN-γ, Mx, IRF-1 and the production of recombinant IFN-γ, Mx or IRF-1 used in Japanese flounder cultivation in future.
