ABSTRACT

AIM:To analyze the correlation between serum angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) levels and different stages of coronary heart disease (CHD), and to explore the change of serum ACE2 level during the development of CHD.METHODS:The control group included 85 non-CHD samples, and 174 CHD samples were divided into light stenosis (ls-CHD, stenosis degree <50%) group, moderate stenosis (ms-CHD, stenosis degree 50%~75%) group and severe stenosis (ss-CHD, stenosis degree ≥75%) group. The ACE2 level in each serum sample was detected by ELISA.The relationship between the ACE2 level and the development of coronary heart disease was explored by statistical analysis of serum ACE2 levels in different stages of CHD.RESULTS:The serum ACE2 levels in ls-CHD group, ms-CHD group and ss-CHD group were all higher than that in control group. The more severe the coronary artery stenosis existed, the higher the ACE2 level was observed. The serum ACE2 level in the males was higher than that in the females. In a single sex, the serum ACE2 levels in ls-CHD group, ms-CHD group and ss-CHD group were higher than that in control group with significant differences.Regression analysis found that sex, diabetes and CHD were associated with the serum ACE2 levels.Among them, sex and CHD were the independent factors to affect serum ACE2 levels.CONCLUSION:The serum ACE2 level of males was higher than that of females.Compared with the non-CHD samples, the serum ACE2 level of CHD patients was higher than that of the non-CHD samples.During the development of coronary heart disease, the serum ACE2 level increased constantly.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of clinical pathway in surgical treatment for patients with mandibular fracture. Methods 80 patients with mandibular fracture were randomly divided into the conventional therapy group(the control group) (n =40) and the clinical pathway therapy group (CP group) (n =40).The hospitalization time, medical expenses, satisfaction for the treatment, health awareness, and incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results The results of hospitalization time, medical expenses, satisfaction for the treatment, and health awareness of the CP group were (11.86 ± 3.05) d,(9 115.43 ± 1 689.84) yuan,(91.19 ± 1.02) %,(95.18 ±4.11)points,respectively,which were significantly better than those of the control group [(17.53 ± 2.98)d,(12 066.75 ±2 513.22)yuan,(89.39 ±1.35)%,(82.83 ± 6.56) points] (t =8.41,6.16,6.73,10.01,all P <0.05).The complication rate of the two groups was 2.5%,7.5%,respectively,which had no significant differences (χ2 =0.26,P > 0.05).Concltsion The clinical pathway for mandibular fracture surgery is worthy of promotion.

ABSTRACT

【Objective】To observe the effect of plasma ?-endogenous peptides (?-EP) on gestational function in endometriosis(EMT) rats.【Methods】 Female SD rats at the third estrous cycle were used to establish EMT model. Then 20 EMT rats were equally randomized into the model group and naltrexone(an opioid receptor antagonist) group, and other 10 rats were in the pseudo-operation group.Naltrexone group was given naltrexone 2?mg?kg~-1?d~-1 by gastric gavage during proestrus and normal saline at other time, and the model group and pseudo-operation group were given normal saline for one month.Serum levels of ?-EP,luteinizing hormone(LH) and prolactin(PRL) were examined during proestrus, and serum progesterone(P) level and gestational function were observed after estrus.【Results】Serum levels of ?-EP and PRL increased and LH decreased during proestrus, and serum P level also decreased after estrus in the model group(P
