ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the value of leukotriene B4(LTB4)and leukotriene E4(LTFA)in early diagnosis of renal involvement in children with Henoch Schonlein purpura(HSPN)and its influence on prognosis.Methods A total of 185 children with HSPN were enrolled in our hospital from January 2014 to October 2016.A total of 50 healthy children were selected as control group at the same period.The serum levels of LTB4 and LTFA in all subjects were detected,and their value in early diagnosis of HSPN and its influence on prognosis were analyzed.Results Compared with the control group,the serum levels of LTB4 and LT-FA in children with HSPN were significantly higher(P<0.05),the contents were 987.6 ng/L and 896.3 ng/L,respectively.The AUC of the combined detection of HSPN was 0.899 and the sensitivity was 0.810,which was better than that of LTB4 and LTB4 alone(P<0.05).The average follow-up was(28.4 ± 10.3)months,with grade A prognosis in 133 cases(71.9%),B grade in 47 ca-ses(25.4%),and C grade in 5 cases(2.7%).The rank sum test showed,the prognosis of children with LTB4<987.6 ng/L was better than that of children with LTB4≥987.6 ng/L,the prognosis of children with LTFA<896.3 ng/L was better than that of children with LTFA≥896.3 ng/L.Spearman analysis showed that the content of LTB4 and LTFA was negatively correlated with prognosis(Rs= -0.693 and -0.637,P<0.05).The higher contents of LTB4 and LTFA,the worse the prognosis.Conclusion Combined detection of LTB4 and LTFA has important clinical significance for early diagnosis and prognosis of HSPN.

ABSTRACT

We developed a rehabilitation system by using the virtual reality technique and the Kinect in this paper. The system combines rehabilitation training with HMI and serious game organically, and provides a game and motion database to meet different patients' demands. Extended interface of game database is provided in two ways: personalized games can be developed by Virtools and Flash games which are suitable for patients' rehabilitation can be download from the Internet directly. In addition, the system provides patients with flexible interaction and easy control mode, and also presents real time data recording. An objective and subjective evaluation method is proposed to review the effectiveness of the rehabilitation training. According to the results of short questionnaires and the evaluation results of patients' rehabilitation training, the system compared with traditional rehabilitation can record and analyze the training data, which is useful to make rehabilitation plans. More entertainment and lower cost will increase patients' motivation, which helps to increase the rehabilitation effectiveness.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the relationship between intra-abdominal fat area(IAFA)in male with abdominal obesity and glycometabolism related indicators. Methods Ninety-four obesity males,aged from 21 to 62 years old,were selected as our subjects. They were divided into abdominal obesity group(n = 70)and non-abdominal obesity group( n = 24). The general information of all subjects was recorded. The indexes of height,weight,waist circumference,hip circumference,body mass index(BMI)were measured. The fasting oral glucose tolerance test was performed. The levels of blood glucose(0,1,2 h)and insulin(0,1,2 h)were measured,and insulin resistance index was calculated. MRI measurement was applied to calculate the IAFA. Compared the difference between the two groups in term of the level of blood glucose,insulin and insulin resistance index,and analyzed the correlation between glycometabolism related indicators and IAFA. Results BMI,waist circumference,hip circumference,insulin resistance index and IAFA in abdominal obesity group were (28. 67 ± 4. 20)kg/ m2 ,(99. 75 ± 4. 07)cm,(104. 42 ± 7. 62)cm,2. 60 ± 1. 80,(153. 06 ± 53. 23)cm2 respectively,higher than those in non-abdominal obesity group((21. 80 ± 1. 97)kg/ m2 ,(79. 50 ± 10. 05)cm, (91. 86 ± 4. 49)cm,1. 52 ± 0. 73,(71. 78 ± 25. 48)cm2 ),and the differences were statistically significant(t= - 7. 704,- 9. 583,- 7. 618,- 2. 877,- 7. 184,P < 0. 05). The level of blood glucose at 0,1,2 h of patient in abdominal obesity group were(5. 89 ± 1. 36)mmol/ L,(10. 55 ± 3. 07)mmol/ L,and(8. 41 ± 3. 63) mmol/ L,higher than that in non-abdominal obesity group((5. 29 ± 0. 53)mmol/ L,(8. 76 ± 1. 96)mmol/ L, (6. 54 ± 1. 50)mmol/ L). Conclusion Compared with patients with non-abdominal obesity,the IAFA of patient with abdominal obesity with abdominal fat area size is associated with insulin resistance.
