ABSTRACT

Objective:To improve the understanding of adult primary hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS) with aggressive natural killer cell leukemia (ANKL).Methods:The clinicopathological data of one adult patient with suspected primary HPS complicated with ANKL in Huiqiao Medical Center, Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University in October 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, and literatures were reviewed. Results:A 21-year-old male patient presented with persistent fever, hemocytopenia, splenomegaly, low fibrinogen, a significant increase in ferritin, hemophagocytes in bone marrow, decreased natural killer (NK) cell activity, and increased soluble CD25. Flow cytometry detection showed that the expression of NK cells was abnormal, and there were familial lysosomal trafficking regulator (LYST) and UNC13D gene defects. He was suspected of primary HPS complicated with ANKL. The patient was given 4 courses of EPOCH+PEG-Asp (etoposide, dexamethasone, vindesine, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride liposome, pegaspargase) regimen chemotherapy, 20 mg of citalopidine twice a week maintenance therapy and matched unrelated hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. After 35 months of follow-up, he got sustained remission. Conclusions:Even if there are secondary causes of adult HPS, it is necessary to screen out related genes to avoid misdiagnosis. HPS patients with ANKL progress rapidly, and the early mortality is high. EPOCH+ PEG-Asp regimen induction therapy and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation should be used as early as possible after diagnosis.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The repair of soft tissue defect is disturbing plastic surgeons for a long period of time. Each strategy has its own limitation. Adipe authoritative journals were included. Repetitive articles and Meta analysis articles were excluded. Finally 34 articles werose tissue engineering technique provides a novel resolving approach. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the research status of adipose tissue engineering and their defects, and to prospect the possible application in clinic. RETRIEVAL STRATEGY: A computer-based online search of Medline was undertaken to identify articles about adipose tissue construction published in English from January 1991 to July 2007 with the keywords "fat, tissue engineering". Meanwhile, we searched Chinese Journal Full-text Database for the Chinese articles dated from January 1991 to July 2007 with the same keywords in Chinese. 241 English and 101 Chinese articles were collected. The titles and abstracts were firstly read to select the articles about the construction of tissue-engineered adipose tissue, and 276 repetitive studies were excluded. LITERATURE EVALUATION: Sixty-six Chinese and English articles were selected for further analysis, and finally 30 articles were included. DATA SYNTHESIS: Cell types, scaffold, blood supply and microenvironment are factors for constructing tissue-engineered fat. Adipose tissue defect and insufficiency are two obstacles for the plastic surgeons for a long time. Autologous free fat transplantation is a common therapy, but its resorption limits the further application. Tissue engineering is a possible technique to resolve this problem. At present, the tissue-engineered construction of adipose tissue has become a study focus due to the great demand of plastic surgery. CONCLUSION: Graft remaining normal appearance and function for a long period of time can realize the application of tissue-engineered adipose tissue in clinic. Tissue-engineered adipose tissue is promising to resolve the problems like soft tissue defects in clinic.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate relationship of serum insulin like growth factors(IGFs) and catch up growth. Methods The model of rats intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) was built by clamping bilateral uterine arteries and veins of pregnant rats. The growth parameters (body weight and length), organs weights (brain, lungs and liver) and serum concentrations of IGF Ⅰ, Ⅱ of all neonatal rats was measured at birth and postnatal day 3 and day 5, respectively. Results (1)At birth, the serum levels of IGF Ⅰ, Ⅱ and the average growth parameters, organs weights in IUGR rats were significantly lower than those in control group( P 0.05). The serum of IGF Ⅱ in high catch up group was significantly higher than that at birth( P 0.05). Conclusion Both IGF Ⅰ, Ⅱmay play an important role in the regulation of catch up growth and the decrease of IGF Ⅰ, Ⅱlevels may be the internal factors contributing to the absence of postnatal catch up growth in IUGR rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the characteristics and the diagnostic value of the tissue strain imaging in constrictive pericarditis(CP).Methods Twenty-six patients and thirty controls underwent comprehensive echocardiography with apical four chamber tissue Doppler imaging and strain imaging.Peak strain of the middle segments of the inter-ventricle septum and left ventricular lateral wall was recorded. The peak strain difference and strain ratio between the two segments were calculated. Results In patients with CP peak strain of the left ventricle lateral wall was significantly lower than that of the septum[(-5.60?3.46)% vs(-14.14?4.11)%,P
