ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the changes of serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) levels in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) patients and their clinical significance.@*Methods@#From February 2015 to February 2018, 54 patients with NHL who were hospitalized in Shiyan People's Hospital were selected as the observation group. All patients underwent two cycles of chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy. Another 54 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. To observe the changes of serum LDH, β2-MG, CEA levels in the control group, and compare the changes of serum LDH, β2-MG, CEA levels before and after treatment with different clinical stages, different conditions, and different effects in NHL.@*Results@#The levels of serum LDH, β2-MG, and CEA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05); the levels of serum LDH, β2-MG, and CEA in patients with NHL in stage Ⅲ to Ⅳ were higher than those in stage Ⅰ to Ⅱ (P<0.05); the levels of serum LDH, β2-MG, and CEA in patients with NHL in the middle-high-risk and high-risk groups were higher than those in the middle-risk and low-risk groups (P<0.05); after treatment, the levels of serum LDH, β2-MG, and CEA in stable disease (SD) and progression disease (PD) patients were not significantly different from those before treatment (P>0.05). While after treatment, the levels of serum LDH, β2-MG and CEA in complete relief (CR) and partial remission (PR) patients were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05), and were lower than those in SD and PD patients.@*Conclusions@#The level of serum LDH, β2-MG and CEA in patients with NHL increased, and the combined detection of the level changes is of great clinical value in the determination of clinical stage, malignant degree, clinical efficacy and prognosis of NHL patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the influence of round window lesion on dynamic responses from the middle ear. Methods Based on CT scan images of healthy human ear, the three-dimensional finite element model of human ear was rebuilt by PATRAN software, then NASTRAN software was applied to conduct coupled solid-fluid frequency response analysis. The feedback of round window lesion on dynamic response of the middle ear was investigated by numerical simulation. Results Round window closure caused by sclerosis led to more decline in amplitude of stapes than congenital round window closed, maximally can reach 30.2 dB, and the latter had no obvious influence on velocity of stapes. In term of phase angle, on condition of sclerosis, change of phase for stapes and round window reached 90° at most and kept a difference value of 180°. In contrast, on condition of congenital round window closed, change of phase for stapes reached 270° at most, meanwhile change of phase for round window disappeared. Conclusions The dynamic response of the middle ear showed different feedback to congenital and otosclerotic round window fixation based on amplitude, velocity and phase. The research findings provide the theoretical basis for diagnosing and fixing round window lesion in future.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the middle ear damage caused by high pressure. Methods The finite element model of human middle ear was established based on CT scanning, and the change of stress, strain and displacement of the tympanic membrane and stapes footplate was analyzed when the model was applied with timevarying pressure. Results The satisfactory agreement between the computational results and the corresponding experimental data in the literature could indicate the validity of the model.High pressure would cause damage to middle ear,and the damage would be aggravated with the pressure increasing.Rapid pressurization could make severely damage to middle ear,but have minor effect on inner ear.Slow pressurization could also lead to middle ear damage, but inner ear might be damaged before the injury to middle ear. Conclusions High pressure can easily lead to the ear damage;therefore, the pressurized rate should be controlled strictly to protect the hearing during pressurization.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the influence of noise under normal and high pressure environment on the cochlea,so as to make up for the defect caused by the lack of testing means to study the noise effect on behavioral characteristics of cochlear hearing by using numerical simulation method. Methods Based on CT scan images of healthy cochlea, and combined with self-programming,the three-dimensional finite element model of the cochlear spiral was established by using PATRAN software.Analysis on flow solid coupling frequency response and transient response was conducted by using NASTRAN software, and the impact of noise under normal and high pressure environment on the cochlea was numerically simulated. Results The calculated results were in agreement with the experimental results reported in the literature, which verified the correctness of the model. When the frequency was lower than 5 kHz,the basement membrane displacement by noise excitation under normal and high pressure environment was basically the same;when the frequency was higher than 5 kHz,the basement displacement by noise excitation under normal environment decreased gradually. Conclusions Under high pressure environment, the high-frequency noise shows a more obvious effect on the basilar membrane. The numerical simulation results can make up for the deficiency in studies about noise effect on characteristics of human cochlear hearing due to the lack of experimental methods, and provide new ideas and theoretical support for targeted experimental study of the cochlea in the future.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the interference of 13 kinds of β‐lactam antibiotics in fructosamine detection .Methods A se‐ries of solution of antimicrobial drugs were formulated with water for injection ,and added into the mixture fresh serum volume by 5% .Interfere with antimicrobial drugs on the test results of fructosamine were evaluated .Results When the blood concentrations of cefathiamidine and ticarcillin sodium/clavulanate potassium were up to 37 .5 mg/L and 247 .5 μg/mL respectively ,they began to produce positive interference on fructosamine detection .However ,the degree of interference was not correlated to the serum concen‐tration of fructosamine .Conclusion Cephathiamidine and ticarcillin sodium/clavulanate potassium have positive interference on fructosamine detection .

ABSTRACT

Based on signal to noise ratio and probabilistic neural network method associated with experimental data, all analysis model in gastric carcinoma is presented.According to the available information, the samples of gastric carcinoma can be tested and ana.Lyzed.The signal to noise ratio is first calculated.Secondly, records in the database are chosen as a training set to build a probabilistie neural network model and the feature subset is selected according to accuracy. Finally, test set is to test accuracy of model. The model is implemented using MATLAB,and it can be generalized and applied to similar disease auxiliary diagnosis region.
