ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the effects of Preventing Jaundice and Antibacterial Biological Medical Gel in prevention of hyperbilirubinemia and umbilical infection in newborn. Methods:A total of 600 healthy neonates in a tertiary hospital were selected. Participants were randomly divided into the control group ( n=300) and the observation group ( n=300). The control group was given routine nursing guidance while the observation group was treated with Preventing Jaundice and Antibacterial Biological Medical Gel. The differences in the number of times of the fetus feces in 3 days after birth, the first fetal feces, yellow discharge time of the fetus feces, the incidence of hyperbilirubinemia, the incidence of neonatal phototherapy and the incidence of umbilical infection between the two groups were compared. Results:The number of times of the fetus feces in 3 days after birth and the first fetal feces and yellow discharge time of the fetus feces of the observation group were (8.12±1.36) times, (7.39±3.71) hours, (26.05±3.98) hours, respectively. The control group were (5.31±1.02) times, (13.04±5.26) hours, (28.65±3.54) hours, respectively. The difference between the two groups was significant ( Z value was -6.133, -6.483, t value was -19.011, P<0.05). The incidence of hyperbilirubinemia, being in neonatal intensive care unit, the incidence of blue light irradiation and the incidence of umbilical infection of the observation group was 0.67%(2/300), 0, 1.00%(3/300) and 0, respectively. The control group was 3.33%(10/300), 2.00%(6/300), 5.00%(15/300) and 3.33%(10/300), respectively. the difference between the two groups was significant ( χ2 value was 4.209-8.247, P<0.01). Conclusions:Preventing Jaundice and Antibacterial Biological Medical Gel could help control the incidence of hyperbilirubinemia and reduce the umbilical infection. It is worth clinical spreading.

ABSTRACT

Eukaryotes inhibit the translation of mRNA under stress conditions and form particles-stress granules (stress granules). At present, stress granules have been proved to be related to the occurrence and development of a variety of diseases, including tumors. The production of stress granules is promoted by microenvironment such as hypoxia and hyperactive oxygen in tumor cells, while stress granules-related proteins such as G3BP1, RACK1, YB-1 and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) can promote the occurrence and metastasis of tumors, but the mechanism is not yet clear. In addition, studies have linked the formation of stress granules to the survival of tumor cells during chemotherapy, and believe that stress granules play a role in the treatment of tumors by different anti-tumor drugs. This review introduces the biological characteristics of stress granules and their relationship with tumors.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the perception of Mandarin's tones by children with speech development disorders so as to provide a theoretical basis for clinical rehabilitation. Methods Thirty children with speech development disorders (DPDs) aged 4 to 6 were matched with 30 healthy counterparts as a control group. Both groups underwent the tone perception experiment, which included tone identification and discrimination tasks. The speech stimuli were 11 computer-simulated voices expressing a continuum of sounds from Mandarin speech ranging from /bá/ to /bà/.The two groups were compared in their ability to identify and differentiate the tones. Results Both groups showed typicalS-shaped identification curves in a category pattern. The category boundaries of the control group were between stimulus steps 6 and 7,significantly different from those of the experimental group where the boundary fell between stimulus steps 5 and 6.On the distinguishing curve, both groups presented obvious peak values. The stimulus steps of the peaks and the crossing points of the identification curves were consistent. In addition, the average ahsolnte value (b1) of the identification curve and the peaks' degree of steepness (DP) of the DPD group's distinguishing curve were significantly lower than those of the control group. At the same time, the average boundary width (Wcb) was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion Children with speech development disorders perceive Mandarin tones with categories different from those of normal children. They may have difficulty in perceiving tones, which might be an important factor leading to pronunciation errors.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of family care on incidence of post-traumatic stress disorder after the first chemotherapy of cancer patients. Methods According to the assessment score of Family APGAR Index,67 cases of diagnosed cancer patients with chemotherapy for the first time were divided into bad family function group and good family function group. Then all the patients were assessed by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder questionnaire(PTSD-SS) and the results were statistically analyzed. Results Among the 67 patients, the APGAR score between 0 to 6 points were 28 cases, account for 41.79% ; 7 to 10 points were 39 cases, account for 58.21%.The score of good family function group was (4.52 ± 1.27) points, the score of bad family function group was (3.86 ± 1.23 ) paints, the difference was significant ( t =2.13,P < 0.05 ).As to the PTSD-SS total score and various factors' scores, the good family function group were higher than that of bad family function group, the difference was significant (P< 0.01 or < 0.05).Cancer patients' APGAR score appeared to be negatively correlated with PTSD-SS score(P< 0.01 or < 0.05).Conclusion The family care index of cancer patients is closely related to their psychological stress, good family function is better psychological stress level is lower.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the impact of self-efficacy on negative automatic thoughts and quality of life in cancer patients who received chemotherapy. Methods 106 patients who diagnosed cancer and received chemotherapy were assessed by General Self-Efficacy Scale ( GSES), WHO quality of life questionnaire-brief (WHOQOL-BREF) and Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire(ATQ) . According to the score of GSES, the highest 27% were assigned to higher scores group, and the lowest 27% were assigned to lower scores group, then compared two groups' WHOQOL-BREF and ATQ with t -test and Pearson correlation analysis. Results The mean score of GSES of 106 patients was ( 22.32 ± 8.61 ) points, and the low self-confidence were 55.66%, the mean score of GSES of higher scores group was( 28.64 ± 7.64)points, and the lower scores group was (21.37 ± 5.78 )points, and the two groups have significant difference ( t = 4.18, P < 0. 01 ). The score of ATQ of higher scores group(63.71 ±7.94) was significantly lower than that of lower scores group(86.57 ±9.87), the total and all dimensions score of WHOQOL-BREF of higher scores group was higher than that of lower scores group, respectively. The score of GSES had positive correlation with the score of WHOQOL-BREF , and had negative correlation with the score of ATQ. Conclusion Cancer patients have lower level of self-efficacy, and it is closed correlated with quality of life and negative automatic thoughts.
