ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of sacubitril-valsartan tablets on the expressions of N terminal pro B type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),troponin Ⅰ(cTnⅠ)and cardiac function in patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency. Methods Patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency who were diagnosed and treated in Beijing Friendship Hospital of Capital Medical University from November 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the study group(sacubitril-valsartan tablets)and the control group(valsartan capsules)according to the random number table method. The total effective rate, cardiac function indexes[left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LEVDD)],plasma NT-proBNP,cTnⅠ,soluble growth stimulation expression gene 2 protein(sST2),angiotensin(AngⅡ)and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Results A total of 100 patients with cardiac insufficiency were included in the study, with 50 in the study group and 50 in the control group. After treatment, the total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The LVEF in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group, while the LVESD,LEVDD were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the plasma of NT-proBNP,cTnⅠ,AngⅡ,and sST2 in two groups had statistical difference(P<0.05)and the difference in the above indicators before and after treatment in two groups were statistically siginficant(P<0.05).The differences in adverse reactions between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of chronic heart failure patients with sacubitril-valsartan tablets can improve heart function, prognosis, and safety.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To explore the composition of microbial communities in vagina and intestine of the mother, the placenta and the neonatal meconium after cesarean section and to analyze the origin of neonatal intestinal microbiota.METHODS: Samples of intestine, vagina and placenta and neonatal meconium from 4 women who underwent cesarean section in Yan'an Hospital of Kunming City in October 2016 were collected. The high-throughput sequencing technology was used to sequence the 16 S rRNA gene, and the composition of the microbial communities and the relationship among the samples were analyzed.RESULTS: Firstly, comparing the number of OTUs in different samples,it was found that the number in placenta was the highest, followed by the intestine and vagina, and the least was in the neonatal meconium.Secondly, each sample was analyzed by PCA clustering, and it was found that the neonatal meconium was affected least by individual differences but the vagina was affected most. The intestinal and placental microbial communities had certain similarities. Finally, comparing the microbial community composition of each sample,it was found that the highest abundance in the neonatal meconium and placenta was Proteobacteria, and in the intestine and vagina it was the Firmicutes.CONCLUSION: During the caesarean section, maternal microbiota transfer may be from the mother's intestine to the placenta and then to the infant's intestine.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe the toxicity of Pulsatilla chinensis (Bunge) Regel saponins (PRS) against Oncomelania hupensis (O. hupensis).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>O. hupensis snails were exposed to 40% and 80% of 24 h LC50 of PRS for 24 h, and then choline esterase (CHE), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activities in cephalopodium and liver of snails were determined. Niclosamide (NIC) was used as the reference molluscicide. Zebra fish lethality test was evaluated to non-target aquatic species of PRS.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The molluscicidal activity of PRS (LC50 at 24 h: 0.48 mg/L) was similar to that of NIC (LC50 at 24 h: 0.16 mg/L). Significant alterations about CHE, ALP, and ALT activities both in the cephalopodium and the liver of snails were observed when O. hupensis was exposed to 40% and 80% LC50 of PRS or NIC for 24 h. PRS and NIC could not affect LDH activity in the cephalopodium and the liver. Lower toxicity to fish of PRS was observed up to the highest concentration tested than NIC.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>PRS, as compared with the reference molluscicide NIC, is thought to be used for the control of harmful vector snails safely.</p>
