ABSTRACT

Flail chest is a severe chest trauma that is commonly associated with lung contusion, resulting in acute respiratory distress syndrome and respiratory failure, which brings challenges in clinical management. It has become a clinical consensus that surgical treatment of flail chest can rapidly restore thoracic stability, eliminate paradoxical breathing, and maintain stability of respiratory and circulatory functions. However, non-surgical interventions continue to be crucial in further improving the prognosis of patients with flail chest, such as pain management and respiratory management. In this study, the authors review the research progress in pain control and respiratory management during comprehensive treatment of patients with flail chest for better understanding of pain management and lung injury care, which may provide references for clinical treatment and further improvement of clinical prognosis and quality of life for patients with flail chest.

This paper combed the incentive policies of orphan drugs in the United States and the European Union, including orphan drugs legislation and setting up special management institutions, orphan drugs qualification certification, government funding, tax reduction and agreement assistance in the research and development process, providing accelerated listing channels in the examination and approval process, giving market monopoly period in the circulation stage, and giving priority to review. On this basis, it also explored the incentive measures of non-profit organizations in the research and development of orphan drugs, including providing financial support, clinical research and so on. From the perspective of guaranteeing the right to life and health of patients with rare diseases, the fairness and accessibility of medication, and the subjects’ right to know and privacy in clinical trials, this paper provides reference for perfecting the incentive mechanism of orphan drugs research and development in China.

ABSTRACT

Objective To continuously draw blood from caudal vein of SD rats which controlled by the homemade holder with an im-proved method, and the effects of this method was evaluated according to the relevant indicators. Methods The 24 SD rats should be drew the blood from the caudal vein by the improved disposable infusion needle and supplied physiological saline at the condition of ether inhala-tion anesthesia and once a day until to the thirteenth day,and then the times of draw blood and the number of survival rats only to calculate the success rate and survival rate of rats were record. Results In the 12 days, the tail vein blood of 24 SD rats were successfully collected. But a rat died of excessive ether inhalation anesthesia on the thirteenth day. The success rate was 99. 68% and the rat survival rate was 95. 83%. Conclusion The method that applying an improved disposable infusion needle and supplying physiological saline is safe and ef-fective,flexible and convenient, which is suitable for experimental study that needs to draw blood from caudal vein of the SD rat at the contin-uous time.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of warm needling moxibustion at Zhongji (CV 3) and Zusanli (ST 36) in treatment of urinary retention after gynecological surgery.
Methods: Forty patients with urinary retention after gynecological surgery were randomly divided into two groups by the randomized method, 20 cases in each group. Patients in the treatment group were treated by warm needling moxibustion at Zhongji (CV 3) and Zusanli (ST 36). Patients in the control group were treated by inductive urination. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were observed after one course of treatment.
Results:The total effective rate was 95.0%in the treatment group and 70.0% in the control group. The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Warm needling moxibustion at Zhongji (CV 3) and Zusanli (ST 36) is more effective than inductive urination in treating urinary retention after gynecological surgery.

ABSTRACT

The period of perimenopausal causes an sudden change of internal environment and disorder of many systems. But the body has a self-adjusting ability, which can help the body to adjust and maintain the body,s state of homeostasis. If this ability too weak or environmental changes in the body is too severe, so that the organism is difficult to reach a new equilibrium, the physiological stress in this time will turn into pathological stress, leading to menopause and menopause syndrome prone to the disease. Heat shock protein in the cell is the stress induced in the broad and non-specific proteins to protect the cells, as a ‘chaperone’ involved in a number of physiological and pathological process of the body. As a result of heat shock protein is induced by stress response in peirmenopausal period and it has an intinate relationship with many links during peirmenopausal period such as neutroendocrine, immunity, antioxidation, estrogen receptor, and insulin receptor, so discussing the function of HSP will benefit the prevention of peirmenopausal syndrome.
