ABSTRACT

This work aimed to improve tannase yield of Aspergillus niger through N+ ion beam implantation in submerged fermentation. The energy and dose of N+ ion beam implantation were investigated. The results indicated that an excellent mutant was obtained through nine successive implantations under the conditions of 10 keV and 30-40 (×2.6×10(13)) ions/cm², and its tannase yield reached 38.5 U/mL, which was about five-time higher than the original strain. The study on the genetic stability of the mutant showed that its promising performance in tannase production could be stable. The studies of metal ions and surfactants affecting tannase yield indicated that manganese ions, stannum ions, xylene and SDS contained in the culture medium had positive effects on tannase production under submerged fermentation. Magnesium ions, in particular, could enhance the tannase yield by the mutant increasing by 42%, i.e. 53.6 U/mL. Accordingly, low-energy ion implantation could be a desirable approach to improve the fungal tannase yield for its commercial application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of combined vitamin therapy of B2 and Zhibai-Dihuang Wan on recurrent oral ulcer.Methods A total of 178 patients with recurrent oral ulcer were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatment group.The control group was treated with vitamin B2,0.2g/time,3 times/day;while the treatment group WaS treated with Zhibai-Dihuang Wan,9g/time,twice/day,on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects were observed in both groups after 14 days.Results The obvious effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group(P=0.0083).while total effective rate did not show significant difierence between the two groups(P=0.0712).The relapse rate in the treatment group was significant lower than the control group.Conclusion It is effective to treat recurrent oral ulcer with the combination of vitamin B2 and Zhibai-Dihuang Wan.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the clinical therapeutic effect of arthroscopic debridement cooperated with injecting chuanxiongqin in treating knee osteoarthritis. Methods Sixty cases of knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into 2 groups: treating group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The treating group were treated by arthroscopic debridement cooperated with injecting chuanxiongqin;the control group were given hyaluronate-Na after received arthroscopic debridement. The operation evaluation criteria of JOA was taken to value the therapeutic effect at 1 week, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months postoperation. At the same time, nitric oxide (NO) content in joint fluid were measured at preoperation, 1 week, 4 weeks, 3 months postoperation. Results At 1 week postoperation, there were no statistically significant differenced > 0.05) between the two groups,at 3, 6 and 12 months postoperation, the therapeutic effect of the treating group were much better than those of the control group (P < 0.01);NO content in joint fluid of preoperative treatment group [(90.32 ± 22.24) μmol/L]and control group [(90.31 ±22.20) μ mol/L]was similar, there was no significant difference (P >0.05). At 3 months postoperation, NO content in joint fluid of the treating group [(85.63 ± 30.63) μ mol/L]decreased significantly compared with preoperative (P < 0.05 ) , and the content was much lower than that of the control group [(89.66 ± 20.63 ) μ mol/L], there was significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Although NO content in joint fluid of the control group was decreased, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). Conclusions Arthroscopic debridement with injecting chuanxiongqin in treating knee osteoarthritis can control inflammatory reaction of cartilage and synovia]in effect, improve the therapeutic effect. Therefore, it should be avalid method in treating knee osteoarthritis.
