ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo explore the effects of group interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) on cognitive and social function in patients with first-episode schizophrenia, and to provide references for appropriate psychological treatment for the patients. MethodsA total of 62 patients with first-episode schizophrenia who met the diagnostic criteria of International Classification of Diseases, tenth edition (ICD-10) and were admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Foshan from January to December 2021 were selected as the study objects. And patients were divided into study group and control group according to random number table method, each with 31 cases. Both groups were treated with risperidone for 8 weeks, based on this, study group received group IPT. Before and after 8 weeks of treatment, Positive and Negative Syndrorne Scales (PANSS), Wisconsin Card Sorting Tests (WCST) and Personal and Social Performance Sale(PSP) were adopted to assess the patients' psychiatric symptoms, cognitive function and social function. ResultsAfter 8 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in PANSS scores between the two groups (t=0.296, P>0.05). The WCST total number of responses in the study group was larger than that in the control group, the number of perseverative errors and non-perseverative errors were smaller than those in the control group, and PSP score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, with statistically significant differences (t=0.398, 2.609, 0.523, 0.381, P<0.05 or 0.01). ConclusionGroup IPT may have no significant efficacy on alleviating the symptoms of patients with first-episode schizophrenia, but it may help improve the cognitive and social function in patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the timing of administration of Conbercept in the treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) before operation and its effect on neovascularization vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).Methods 90 patients (90 eyes) with PDR who underwent vitrectomy (PPV) were randomly divided into groups A,B and C,with 30 cases in each group.Group A received no intravitreal injection of Conbercept before operation, group B received intravitreal injection of Conbercept 3 days before operation, and group C received intravitreal injection of Conbercept 5 days before operation. The operation condition, visual acuity level, concentration of vascular endothelial growth factor in aqueous humor and positive expression of vascular growth factor in neovascularization membrane were compared in the three groups. Results There was no significant difference in the incidence of iatrogenic hiatus during operation, transient high intraocular pressure and hyphema after operation in the three groups (P > 0.05).Compared with group A,group B and C had shorter the operation time, less electrocoagulation, lower LogMAR BCVA (best corrected visual acuity) three months after operation (P ≤ 0.05).There was no significant difference in the concentration of vascular endothelial growth factor between group B and group C before vitreous injection (P > 0.05).The expression of VEGF in aqueous humor of group B and group C was lower than that of group A (P ≤ 0.05),and the total positive expression rate of VEGF in neovascularization membrane of group B and group C was 76.67% and 73.33% respectively, lower than that of group A (100.0%,P ≤0.05).The vitreous re-bleeding of group B and group C was 6.67% and 10.0%,lower than that of group A (32.14%,P ≤ 0.05).While there was no significant difference between group B and group C (P >0.05).Conclusions Vitreous injection of Conbercept before PPV in PDR patients can reduce the concentration of VEGF in aqueous humor and the positive expression rate of VEGF in neovascularization membrane, significantly improve visual acuity and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications. The effect of vitreous injection 3 and 5 days before PPV is basically the same.

ABSTRACT

We developed a microfluidic device to integrate sample introduction, bacteria culturing and results reading. The identification of multiple bacteria was achieved by combining the spatial resolution of the arrayed bacteria culture chambers and the color resolution benefited from the bacteria specific chromogenic media. A set of 4 common pathogenic bacteria responsible for urinary tract infection were used as a model to test the microfluidic assay. Our results showed that the bacteria identification assay can be completed in 15 h, with a limit of detection (LOD) of bacteria density down to 10 cfu / mL. Clinical sample testing using the microchip approach showed a coincidence rate of 96. 3% as compared with the conventional method. The developed microfluidic approach is simple and rapid, thus hold the potential to serve as a powerful tool for detection of multiple bacteria.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the establishment method of virtual three-dimensional model of the virtual artery and interven-tional devices, and its application value. Methods The virtual models including virtual artery system, catheter, guide wire, stent and coil were established by using the three-dimensional moulding software of 3D Studio MAX R3.The study about interventional preoperative simulation and assistant instruction were run in personal computer. Results ①All the virtual instruments and real in-struments were highly similar shape, the arterial system in the visual display was similar to realistic system.②All arteries branches had own name, could be arbitrarily adjusted curvature, diameter and established the lesion morphology.③The reference value of preoperative simulation results to guide the actual surgery included following aspects:to guide the reasonable shaping of micro-cathe-ter and micro-guide wire tip,to plan the coil and stent deployment location, number and size.④In training and teaching, the preop-erative simulation could assist doctors in learning and remembering the artery branch and establishing the concept of three-dimen-sional space, and enhanceing the intention understanding of surgery. Conclusion The establishment method of virtual model of the virtual artery and interventional devices is reliable. The preoperative simulation results can be used to guide practical operation with relatively high accuracy, and it has an important supporting role for the teaching and training of medical students.
