ABSTRACT

Scar contracture after burn on the back of hand can easily lead to the limitation of flexion function of fingers, which seriously affects daily life activities. Generally, comprehensive rehabilitation treatment is adopted for scar contracture on the back of hand, among which wearing braces is an effective treatment method. However, some braces will limit the normal finger joints or must wait until all the affected fingers heal before they can be worn, and the wearing operation is quite complicated. In order to solve these problems, the author designed and made a finger flexion band, which was used to stretch the patients with limited flexion of finger caused by scar contracture after burn on the back of hand, and achieved good therapeutic effect. According to the measured hand size, the finger flexion band is cut and spliced from the fabric commonly used in daily life. The finger flexion band is designed with finger sleeve, which will not limit the normal finger joints, can interfere with the healed finger in advance, fix the corresponding fingers better, and improve the treatment comfort, especially for children who do not cooperate with the braces wearing. This finger flexion band is simple to make, cheap, convenient to use, and suitable for clinical promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effect of clemastine fumarate on Toll-like receptor 4/phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase/serine-threonine kinase (TLR4/PI3K/Akt) signaling pathway during hypoxia-reoxygenation (H/R) in rat cardiomyocytes. Methods H9C2 cells of rats cultured in vitro were seeded in culture wells or dishes at a density of 1×105 cells/ml and divided into 3 groups (n=11 each) by using a random number table method:control group (group C),H/R group and clemastine fumarate group (CF group).Cardiomyocytes were exposed to 5% CO2-95% N2in a low-glucose DMEM medium at 37℃ for 4 h followed by 4 h reoxygenation. At 4 h of reoxygenation, the cell viability was detected by CCK-8 assay, the ultrastructure was observed with a transmission electron microscope, the expression of TLR4,PI3K,phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt) and caspase-3 was detected by Western blot, and the expression of TLR4,PI3K and caspase-3 was detected by immunofluorescence. Results Compared with group C,the cell viability was significantly decreased, the expression of TLR4 and caspase-3 was up-regulated,and the expression of PI3K and p-Akt was down-regulated in group H/R (P<0.05).Compared with group H/R,the cell viability was significantly increased, the expression of TLR4 and caspase-3 was down-regulated,the expression of PI3K and p-Akt was up-regulated (P<0.05),and the mitochondrial damage was significantly attenuated in group CF.Conclusion The mechanism by which clemastine fumarate alleviates H/R injury to rat cardiomyocytes may be related to inhibiting TLR4 expression and activating PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

The paper analyzes the cause for poor medication compliance of hypertensive patients, indicates the necessity of development of hypertensive health management APP,designs three core functions of the APP including health science popularization, medication reminding and blood pressure monitoring, promotes the improvement of medication compliance of patients, and improves the use intensity of users of the APP through the internal incentive measures that combining health belief and effect monitoring and the external incentive measures that focus on the reward system.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the cardiovascular risk factors in perimenopausal women and evaluate the risk for cardiovascular disease. Methods A total of 692 perimenopausal women permanent residents in a community of Zhengzhou from September, 2014 to May, 2015 were selected using multi-stage random sampling. Their age, blood pressure, body weight, smoking history, history of diabetes and fast-ing blood glucose, blood lipid and other information were collected. They were assessed with The National 10-Year Risk Assessment for Ischemic Cardiovascular Disease (ICVD). Results Prevalence of the cardiovascular risk factors screened for were as follow:hypertension 14.3%, dyslipidemia 32.1%, overweight or obesity 59.2%, type 2 diabetes mellitus 7.9%, smoking 0.6%. The absolute risk for ICVD in the next 10 years averaged as (2.01 ± 3.04)%, and increased with age. The incidence of high blood pressure, high total cholesterol, smoking, as well as the level of risk for ICVD were different among various age groups. Conclusion The cardiovascular factors are not controlled ideal-ly in the perimenopausal women, and result in high risk of cardiovascular disease, which need a set of intervention as their risk stratification.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the association between body mass index and blood pressure , blood glucose, blood lipids and the 10-year risk of ischemic cardiovascular disease (ICVD) among the middle-aged population and to provide theoretical evidence to prevent cardiovascular disease among overweight and obese mid-dle-aged population in the community. Methods A total of 1,628 middle-aged residents having health examina-tions in Hangdong and Nanguan Community Health Service Center in Guancheng District of Zhenghzou City from September 2014 to September 2015 were selected as subjects and were divided into three groups: normal group , overweight group, and obesity group according the size of the body mass index. The relationship among BMI , blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipids and the 10-year risk of ICVD was explored. Results The preva-lence of overweight and obesity in the population was 47.97% and 15.72% respectively. There was significant dif-ference in body mass index , systolic blood pressure , fasting blood glucose , blood lipids and the distribution of the 10-year risk for ICVD (all P < 0.05). The incidence of hypertension, hyperglycosemia and hyperlipidemia increased with the increase of BMI (all P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that over-weight and obesity were independent risk factors of hypertension , hyperglycosemia and hyperlipidemia (OR =2.144, 1.911, 2.028). Conclusions The prevalence of overweight and obesity among middle-aged population is high in Guancheng District of Zhengzhou City. Overweight and obesity co-exit with other cardiovascular risk factors. Normal BMI is important to reduce the level of risk for CVD and the 10-year risk of ICVD.
