ABSTRACT

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of polysaccharide iron complex capsule and Shengxuening tablet on renal anemia in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods:Patients who received MHD treatment from April to June 2016 in our dialysis center and met the criteria for iron deficiency anemia were block-randomly divided into two groups: the polysaccharide-iron complex group and the Shengxuening group. Blood routine, iron metabolism biomarkers and biochemical exams were measured before treatment and at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd months after treatment, and the incidence of adverse reactions were recorded. The compliance rate of the two groups was observed and compared, and the block-randomized-statistical methods were used to compare the clinical data of the two groups before and after treatment, and cost-benefit analysis was also conducted. Results:Thirty patients in each group completed follow-up. After three months of treatment, the blood routine and iron metabolism indicators of the two groups were improved. Compared with the Shengxuening group, the polysaccharide iron complex group had higher therapeutic efficiency, and the levels of hemoglobin, transferrin saturation and serum ferritin were higher, and lower use of recombinant human erythropoietin ( P<0.05). The other indexes such as red blood cell (RBC), hematocrit (HCT) levels and the effective rate of anemia correction, the effective rate of iron therapy, the effective rate of iron therapy between the two groups were similar. Cost-benefit analysis suggested that the use of polysaccharide iron complexes to treat anemia has lower costs and higher benefits ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Polysaccharide iron complex capsule can better correct anemia and improve iron metabolism, and has low cost-effectiveness, which can effectively reduce medical insurance expenditure. It is a good iron supplementing method in addition to intravenous iron supplement.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of Fe, Zn, B and Mn fertilizer with different ratio on the yield and quality of Aconitum carmichaeli.

METHODField experiment with the uniform design was applied, the yield and the contents of the total alkaloids and diester-alkaloids were measured.

RESULTFe, Zn, B and Mn fertilizer of appropriate ratio could promote the growth of vegetative organs, increase the biomass, the content of alkaloids and the yield of Aconite significantly. Fe, Zn fertilizer of highly concentrated ratio increased the proportion of first sub-roots, but inhibited the growth of other vegetative organs, the number of roots was less than that with other treatments, so it was not conducive to the formation of production. High concentration of Mn was not conducive to the growth of underground of Aconite, its number of sub-roots was fewer, but the number of third sub-roots was more than that with other treatments, the yield was low. The yield treated with low concentration of B was 10% higher than that with high concentration, and the high concentration of B was not conducive to increase the content of the alkaloids. Among these treatments, The fourth treatment was the optimal combination, of which the volume of sub-roots was the largest and the most homogeneous, the growth of the vegetative organs was better and the accumulation of dry matters was more, the yield of this treatment was 10,754.7 kg x hm(-2), which was increased by 14.9%, and the content of alkaloid was increased by 13.9%.

CONCLUSIONThe ratio of 4 is the best treatment for high yield and quality cultivation of Aconite.

ABSTRACT

The chromatographic fingerprint was established for evaluating and controlling the quality of germplasm resource of Ophiopogon japonicus in Sichuan Basin by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The results showed that each sample the characterized by the peak area of 28 HPLC peaks and 13 GC peaks in each program and these peaks were employed for hierarchical cluster analysis. Furthermore, the discrimination of the sample from different regions was achieved by hierarchical cluster analysis via recognizing the 16 (41 datamatrix. This was the first report of hierarchical cluster analysis of the wild germplasm resource of Ophiopogon japonicus according to their chemical fingerprints. Thus, the results proved it is a simple, rapid and accurate method suitable for the quality control of the traditional Chinese medicines.

ABSTRACT

Ideal ecological condition for the growth of Ophiopogon japonicus(L. f) Ker-Gawl. is a warm and moist environment. It is generally planted along the banks of Fujing River,460~520m above sea level. The best soil will be brown and sandy with complicated parent material, rich in mineral, calcium and organic matters, neutral and vivid with bacterial activity. It has a deep soil horizon, shallow water level, loosely composed on the surface while tightly beneath, good permeation for both air and water. Such a concert among soil, water, air, heat and manure will result in a high yield of the plant to satisfy the demand of high quality product.
