ABSTRACT
@#Posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation was effective for correcting refractive errors. More scientific studies about subjective visual quality(visual acuity, contrast sensitivity)and objective visual quality(wave front aberration, point spread function, Strehl ratio, modulmion transfer function)had showed that the improvement of subjective visual acuity was accompanied with the improvement of objective visual acuity after phakic intraocular lens implantation. However, the complications, such as anterior subcapsular cataract, glaucoma and decomposition of corneal endothelium needed to be long-term followed up. This article summarized the visual quality research after posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens implantation.
ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:To investigate off-indication use of oral chemical drugs medical orders by the standards of CFDA and FDA,and to compare the differences between the two standards,analyze reasons and rationality of drug use,so as to pro-vide reference for establishing off-indications use management system. METHODS:The oral chemical drugs medical orders of inpatients were analyzed statistically during Jan.-Jun. 2016. Off-label uses was judged according to the standards of CFDA and FDA. RESULTS:Totally 507 oral chemical drugs medical orders were collected,the percentage of off-indications use were in high level,being 58.58% and 55.82% respectively by the standards of CFDA and FDA. The incidence of off-indication use of quetiapine and aripiprazole by the CFDA standards were significantly higher than the results of FDA standards,with statistical significance(P<0.05). Magnesium valproate(54.03%),escitalopram oxalate(10.45%)and quetiapine(10.15%)occupied the top 3 places in the list of constituent ratio. Among off-indication medical orders,7 orders had no evidence-based medicine,ac-counting for 2.36% of total. CONCLUSIONS:Most off-indication medical orders of our hospital could provide the basis and lit-erature support,while there are still a few off-indication use with insufficient evidence. The corresponding management system of the hospital should be formulated to guarantee the medication safety of the patients and legitimate rights and interests of the doctors.

AlM: To analyze the reason of corneal epithelial implantation and ingrowth after laser in situ keratomileusis ( LASlK ) , and summarize the treatment experiences. ?METHODS: The clinical data of postoperative corneal epithelial ingrowth on 18 cases (30 eyes) from 1 256 cases (2 256 eyes) after LASlK were retrospectively analyzed in our hospital from January 2008 to December 2012. After the treatment of all eyes, patients’ general visual quality scores before and after treatment were analyzed. ?RESULTS:There were 18 cases ( 30 eyes ) with corneal epithelial implantation and ingrowth after LASlK, and the incidence rate was 1. 3%. ln the 18 cases (30 eyes), there were 12 eyes corneal flap epithelial ingrowth caused by postoperative trauma, 12 eyes caused by multiple corneal flap flush, 2 eyes caused by intraoperative irregular corneal flap, and nothing special for 4 eyes. The classification of corneal epithelial ingrowth of 30 eyes:grade I, 11 cases (18 eyes);gradeII, 4 cases (8 eyes);grade Ⅲ, 3 cases ( 4 eyes ) . Grade I-II were treated with TobraDex eye drops and intraocular pressure lowering drug. Grade Ⅲ firstly were treated by drugs, otherwise by surgery if it didn’t improve. After treatment, 8 cases (13 eyes) epithelial ingrowth disappeared from 11 cases ( 18 eyes ) , 3 cases ( 5 eyes ) implanted epithelial tumor shrank in grade l;epithelial implantation of 2 cases (4 eyes) in grade II disappeared, implantation degree of 2 cases (4 eyes) reduced to grade I;2 cases (2 eyes) in grade Ⅲ had 0. 5 ~ 1mm wide flap edge shallow gray ribbon 1 mm inside the limbus, visual acuity was 0. 8 ~1. 2, 1 case ( 2 eyes ) treated with curettage corneal epithelial implantation and endophytic epithelium hadn’t relapsed in the follow-up. After the treatment, 18 cases of corneal epithelial ingrowth got lower visual quality scores than those before therapy (Hc=10. 511, P ?CONCLUSlON: Operation standardized, postoperative early detection and aggressive treatment are important for prevention and treatment of complications after LASlK.
ABSTRACT
AIM: To observe the effects of scleral buckling surgery for retinal detachment under microscope and under indirect ophthalmoscope. METHODS: Forty - six patients ( 46 eyes ) with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment were retrospectively analyzed. Twenty-six patients received surgeries under microscope was retrospectively analyzed and compared to that of 20 patients who received surgeries under indirect ophthalmoscope by the same operator. RESULTS: No statistical difference was found in patients' operation method choice, including condensation reaction reattachment situation and the retina reset operation at a time ( P> 0. 05 ). The best corrected visual acuity of microscopic group after 1mo of operation was better than before operation, and the improving rate of vision after operation was higher than that of the traditional group (P CONCLUSION:The curative effect of external approach microsurgery has the similar efficacy with the conventional external approach surgery, and gets better visual acuity.
ABSTRACT
<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the incidence of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) complicated by chronic prostatitis.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>We performed routine examinations and bacterial culture of the expressed prostate secretion (EPS) for 213 cases of BPH, detected mycoplasma, chlamydia and serum PSA, and compared the results of IPSS of those complicated with chronic prostatitis before and after a 4-week anti-inflammatory treatment.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Of the total cases, 69 (32.4%) were complicated by chronic prostatitis, 27 (12.7%) EPS positive and 15 (7.0%) mycoplasma and chlamydia positive. Among the 69 cases of chronic prostatitis, 7 were found with an elevated level of PSA (> 4 microg/L), and 43 with the mean IPSS score decreased from (12.2 +/- 2.6) before anti-inflammatory treatment to (10.5 +/- 2.3) after it (P < 0.01).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>EPS examination should be performed for patients with BPH, which is highly significant for the diagnosis of prostatitis, choice of medical or surgical treatment, improvement of therapeutic effect and reduction of complications.</p>

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the wrist joint of coal miners who work in excavation and vibration department.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Forty-three coal miners with the hand-arm vibration disease served as the observation group while 20 workers who were not working in the vibration department acted as the control group. The patients in the observation group were divided into five subgroups according to the time when they received vibration. The regularity of the development of signs and symptoms of MRI was observed and analyzed.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The hydroarthrosis was most found in MRI. There were significant difference in hydroarthrosis (chi(2) = 8.80, P < 0.01), osteoporosis and osteomyelitis (chi(2) = 3.91, chi(2) = 5.01, P < 0.05 respectively) between the observation group and the control group. The edema of bone marrow and the avascular necrosis of ossa carpi were found only in the observation group and not found in the control group. The hydroarthrosis and the edema of bone marrow occurred most in the early stage of vibration. The signal in the edema of the bone marrow of the distal end of the radius was decreased in the GE sequence T(2)WI with the specificity.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>(1) Changes in the wrist joint occur in the early stage of the vibration work, and can be found in the MRI. (2) The edema of the bone marrow of the distal end of the radius is of great value in the diagnosis of the hand-arm vibration disease.</p>
