ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effects of teach-back on health education for patients′gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 90 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus from obstetrics outpatient were recruited and randomly assigned to either case or control group. The case and control groups received the same treatment and health education, the only difference was teach-back method in the case group,to compare blood glucose, compliance and outcome of pregnancy. Results After the intervention, fasting blood glucose (FPG), 2h postprandial blood glucose (2h- ppg) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in the case group were respectively (4.75 ± 0.30) mmol/L, (5.69 ± 0.74) mmol/L, (5.15±0.28)%,control group were respectively (5.01±0.30) mmol/L, (6.15±0.70) mmol/L, (5.68± 0.33)% . The difference was statistically between the two groups (t=-4.631、-3.019、-8.020, P<0.05 or 0.01). The treatment compliance rate, gestational hypertension, hyperhydramnios, cesarean section and macrosomia rate in the case group were respectively 93.2% (41/44), 6.8% (3/44), 11.4% (5/44), 13.6% (6/44), 2.3% (1/44),control group were respectively 81.4% (35/43), 23.3% (10/43), 30.2% (13/43), 32.6% (14/43), 14.0% (6/43),the difference was statistically between the two groups ( U=570.000, χ2 =4.398-5.775, P<0.01 or 0.05). Conclusion Teach-back method is methodis a good health method and to reduce glucose level and improve Compliance of therapy. It is worthy of promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To develop an Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS) table suitable for professional characteristics and to predict the occurrence of complications in the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods This is a retrospective study. PCI patients in catheter room of Qingdao International Center Hospital from July to December, 2015 and July to December, 2016 were selected as the research object. The former was set as the control group, and the latter as the experimental group, traditional MEWS and modified MEWS were applied in the two groups respectively. The incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results The incidence rates of cardiac arrest, drop of blood pressure, arrhythmia, slow blood flow or no complex flow, perforation, interlayer were 0.83%(3/362), 0.55% (2/362), 0.55% (2/362), was 0.55% (2/362), 2.21% (8/362) , 4.42% (16/362) , and were 2.51%(9/358), 5.31%(19/358), 8.66%(31/358) , 3.07%(11/358) , 2.51%(9/358) , 2.79%(10/358) in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (χ2= 4.603-5.302, P<0.05). Conclusions The MEWS score of PCI can be used to predict the occurrence of complications in PCI, and for the patients with MEWS score above 5, they should be given medical and nursing intervention in order to reduce the complications in the operation.

ABSTRACT

The changes of expression and function of MDM2 and P53 by MDM2 specific antisense oligonucleotides were investigated in HL60 cells. Cells were divided into control group, AS group (MDM2 specific antisense oligonucleotides group), cisplatin group, and combined treatment group. FCM analysis and Western blot and RT-PCR were used to estimate apoptosis and the expression of MDM2 and P53. Our results showed that the transfection of MDM2 specific antisense oligonucleotides obviously inhibited MDM2 expression (P < 0.01) and increased the expression of P53 (P < 0.05). Apoptosis rate were reduced by MDM2 specific antisense oligonucletides and cisplatin (P < 0.01). It is concluded that MDM2 specific antisense oligonucletides can inhibit the expression of MDM2, induce the expression of P53 and increase the apoptosis of leukemia cells after chemotherapy.
