ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the level of serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP)and myocardial injury markers in acute coronary syndrome(ACS)and evaluate their relationship and diagnostic values. Methods Case control study was conducted. This study enrolled 64 ACS patients and 50 non-ACS patients from the 181st Hospital of Chinese PLA in 2015.Serum SOD,hsCRP were tested and myocardial injury markers such as cardiac tro-ponin I(cTnI),creatin kinase MB(CK-MB)were also tested.Student t test and Pearson test were used as statistical meth-ods.Results Compared with control group,SOD of ACS group were significant lower(t=4.136,P<0.001)and hsCRP, Mb,cTnI,CK and CK-MB were significant higher(t=-5.396,-3.495,-5.578,-4.655 and -4.614,all P<0.001). The area under ROC curve of SOD,hsCRP,MYO,cTnI,CK and CK-MB was 0.713,0.758,0.699,0.879,0.841 and 0.802 respectively. After pearman test, the serum SOD were correlated to hsCRP,total cholesterol(TC)and low density lipopro-tein(LDL-C)(r=-0.493,0.548 and 0.404,all P<0.01).Serum hsCRP was correlated to cTnI,triglyceride(TG)and SOD(r=0.671,-0.417 and -0.493,all P<0.01).Conclusion cTnI was positively correlated to hsCRP and markers of myocardial injury.hsCRP was negatively correlated with SOD.It implicated that oxidative stress, inflammatory response and serum lipid deposition may act an important role in the occurrence and development of ACS.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the clinical value of detection of procalcitonin(PCT ) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in early diagnosis of bloodstream infection(BSI) .Methods The serum levels of PCT and hs-CRP of 58 BSI patients(test group) and 58 non BSI patients(control group) were detected .The early diagnosis value of PCT and hs-CRP was evaluated by ROC curve .Results There were significant difference between the serum PCT and hs-CRP levels of test group and control group(P<0 .05) .The ROC AUC of PCT and hs-CRP were 0 .902(95% CI:0 .850-0 .955) and 0 .706(95% CI:0 .611-0 .801) ,respectively . With 2 .24 ng/mL being the diagnostic cut-off value ,the diagnostic sensitivity ,specificity ,positive predictive value ,and negative pre-dictive value of PCT were 77 .6% ,91 .4% ,90 .0% ,and 80 .3% ,respectively .With 64 .83 mg/L being the diagnostic cut-off value ,the di-agnostic sensitivity ,specificity ,positive predictive value ,and negative predictive value of hs-CRP were 74 .1% ,62 .1% ,54 .4% ,and 59 .5% , respectively .Conclusion Detection of serum PCT and hs-CRP has important clinical value in early diagnosis of BSI .

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo probe into the target organ of Fenglong (ST 40) and the mechanism in resolving phlegm.

METHODSThirty SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups, a blank control group, a model group and a Fenglong group, 10 rats in each group. The hyperlipemia rat model was prepared by feeding high fat forage. The blank control group were fed by basic forage each day, and other 2 groups were fed with high fat forage each day. After the rats were fed for 2 weeks, EA was given at "Fenglong" (ST 40) in the rats of the Fenglong group, twice each week, for 10 times. At the end of EA treatment, SOD activities and MDA contents in the spleen, lung, liver and pancreas were detected.

RESULTSAcupuncture at "Fenglong" (ST 40) significantly increased SOD activities in the spleen and lung, decreased MDA content in the lung, and had a tendency to decrease SOD activity and to increase MDA content in the liver, while it did not significantly influence SOD activity and MDA content in the pancreas.

CONCLUSIONThe target organs of "Fenglong" (ST 40) regulating SOD activity and MDA content are spleen, lung and liver, particularly, spleen and lung, with no relation with pancreas. It is indicated that the resolving phlegm function of "Fenglong" (ST 40) is related with promoting metabolism of free radiations in special organs.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo study the quality and genetic diversity of Chrysanthemun morifolium, the chemical constituents of 20 medicinal chrysanthemum cultivars in China were compared.

METHODChemical constituents of the 20 cultivars were compared in three types of index: chlorogenic acid, flavonoid and volatile oil.

RESULTThere are visible differences on the contents of chlorogenic acid, flavonoid and volatile oil between the cultivars.

CONCLUSIONEach cultivar has its own internal quality, and it is affected by many factors. The chemical constituents of the cultivars showed the genetic diversity in medicinal chrysanthemums of China.
