ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of Iowa evidence practice mode-based management program on the swallowing function in stroke patients. Methods:A total of 88 stroke patients in affiliated hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from April 2017 to April 2018 were recruited in the present study. Patients were randomly divided into experimental group (44 cases) and control group (44 cases) according to the random number table. The control group received routine nursing, while the Iowa evidence practice mode-based management program was carried our in the experimental group. After 30 days of intervention, the swallowing function was assessed by water swallow test, quality of life was evaluated by Short form of 36, the incidence of aspiration pneumonia was also compared between groups. Results:After intervention, the grade 1 patients in water swallow test were up to 29.3%(12/41) in the experimental group, and 18.6%(8/43) in the control group, the water swallow test was better in the experimental group compared to the control group ( Z value was 2.332, P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of vitality, social functioning, role-emotional, mental health were significantly increased in the experimental group compared to the control group (61.39±13.07, 60.44±10.89, 62.07±14.82, 64.78±15.24, 446.15±42.06 vs. 53.19±14.77, 50.09±13.15, 53.91±16.72, 57.81±16.34, 410.98±35.81), the difference was statistically significant ( t value was 2.018-4.133, P<0.01 or 0.05). The incidence of aspiration pneumonia was significantly decreased in the experimental group (2.4%,1/41) compared to the control group (16.3%,7/43), the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 value was 4.666, P<0.05). Conclusions:Iowa evidence practice mode-based management program can promote the swallowing function of stroke patients, as well as promote improve quality of life and decrease the incidence of aspiration pneumonia. It serves as an instruction for clinical intervention.

ABSTRACT

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of peginterferon ( PegIFN) α-2b in treatment of HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B ( CHB).Methods Thirty two patients with HBeAg-positive CHB admitted in Peking University Shenzhen Hospital during November 2013 and January 2014 were recruited in the study.Patients were center randomly assigned into two groups : 22 patients in test group were treated with 180 μg PegIFN α-2b, 1 /w for 48 wk; 10 patients in control group were treated with 180 μg PegIFN α-2a (Pegasys), 1 /w for 48wk.All patients were followed up for 24wk after treatment.Virology markers, HBV DNA levels and liver functions were monitored regularly , and adverse events were observed . Fisher’s exact test was used to compare the efficacy and safety between two groups .Results There were no statistically significant differences between the control group and test group in ALT normalization rates , HBV DNA negative rates and HBeAg serological conversion rates both at the end of treatment and at the end of 24-wk follow-up (all P >0.05).Both groups had similar adverse effect incidence rates (P >0.05), but retina disease occurred in 7 cases of test group, which was not observed in control group .Conclusion Compared with PegIFN α-2a, PegIFN α-2b has similar efficacy and safety for patients with HBeAg -positive CHB.

ABSTRACT

Objective To research the reliability and validity of the N-QOL Chinese version system. Methods A total of 260 nocturia patients were surveyed by the Chinese version of N-QOL and the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of N-QOL were assessed. Results Cronbach's α of the total questionnaire and two dimensions were 0.899,0.672 and 0.799,respectively.The split-half reliability was 0.828 and re-test reliability was 0.796.The correlation coefficients of scores of the items with its subordinate dimensionality were 0.595~0.854,and those with the total scores were 0.578~0.754.Two common factors were found through exploratory factor analysis, which explained the percent of 57.20% rotation sums of squared loadings. Conclusions The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of N-QOL were good,so it could be used to evaluate the life quality of nocturia patients.
