ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effects of ambroxol hydrochloride injection combined with pulmonary surfactant(PS) on the improvement of arterial blood gas index and the time of mechanical ventilation in neonates with respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS).Methods 82 children with NRDS were selected, and they were randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table ,41 cases in each group. The control group received 100mg/kg PS inhalation, and the study group received intravenous injection of 7.5mg/kg ambroxol hydrochloride +100mg/kg PS inhalation. The changes of arterial blood gas index [PaO2 ,arterial carbon dioxide pressure ( PaCO2 ),pH value], mechanical ventilation time, oxygen supply time and hospitalization time were statistically compared between the two groups. Results The PaO2 [(89.38 ±4.72)mmHg]and pH value (7.40 ±0.02) of the study group were higher than those of the control group [(66.42 ±5.58) mmHg,(7.32 ±0.04)] at 12h after treatment, while PaCO2 [(29.04 ±4.63)mmHg]was lower than that in the control group [(35.38 ±5.67)mmHg],and the differences were statistically significant(t =20.115,11.454,5.545,all P =0.000).The hospitalization time, oxygen supply time and mechanical ventilation time of the study group were lower than those of the control group [(11.10 ±3.47) d vs. (18.61 ±8.72)d,(7.49 ±5.31) d vs.(14.32 ±11.61) d,(56.21 ±11.78)h vs.(78.22 ±18.31)h],and the differences were statistically significant (t =5.123,3.425,6.473,all P =0.000).Conclusion Ambroxol hydrochlo-ride injection combined with PS can improve the arterial blood gas index in children with NRDS and shorten the time of mechanical ventilation, hospitalization and oxygen supply .

ABSTRACT

Lepidopteran heat-tolerant(ht)cell lines have been obtained with sf-9,sf-21 and several Bombyx cells. They have a distinct karyotype, membrane lipid composition, morphology and growth kinetics from the parental cell lines. In this paper,we report the development of ht cell lines from other insect species and examination of their growth characteristics and virus susceptibility.Adaptation of cell lines sf-9,BTI-TN-5131-4(High5)and BTI-TN-MG1(MG 1)to 33℃ and 35℃ was carried out by shifting the culture temperature between 28℃ and higher temperatures by a gradual stepwise increase in temperature. The process of adaption to a higher culture temperature was accomplished over a period of 2 months. The cell lines with the temperature adaption were designated as sf9-ht33,sf9-ht35,High5-ht33,High5-ht35,MG1-ht33,MG1-ht35.These cell lines have been subcultured over 70 passages.Adaption to high temperatures was confirmed by a constant population doubling time with individual cell lines. The population doubling time of heat adapted cell lines were 1-4 h less than these of parental cell lines.Cell shapes did not show obvious change, however, the cell size of sf9-ht cells was enlarged and those of High5 and MG1 ht cells were reduced after heat adaption. When the cell lines were infected with Autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus(AcMNPV)at 28℃,33℃,35℃ and 37℃,production of budded virus and occlusion bodies in each cell line was optimum at its own adapted temperature.

ABSTRACT

By introducing an electro-withdrawing antipyrine group, N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-N-(4-antipyrine)-10-methylacridinium-9-carboxamide triflate was prepared. The UV, FL and CL properties of the target compound and of its precursor were investigated by comparing with those of the model compound N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-N-phenyl-10-methylacridinium-9-carboxamide triflate and the corresponding precursor respectively. The results show that acridine sulfonamide with a heterocyclic antipyrine group exhibits blue shift of both UV absorption and of maximum excitation wavelength(λex) and emission wavelength(λem) in FL spectra, comparing with the corresponding model compound. The λex of the final target and its precursor are 268 and 274 nm, respectively; and the λem are 321 and 327 nm, respectively, while λex of the model compound and its unmethylated precursor are 365 and 359 nm, respectively; and the λem are 504 and 440 nm, respectively. Moreover, the chemiluminescence of the final target compound triggered by H2O2 could finish within 1.1 s; and the quantum yield is similar to that of the model compound, being 5.6 times high as that of luminol.
