ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:Interlocking intramedullary nailing is a main method for bone fractures, but traditional static intramedullary nails usually lead to nail breakage and loosening.Thereafter,we design a novel high-thread wooden club-shaped screw (HTWCSS) and explore its mechanical properties.OBJECTIVE:To measure the bend strengths of HTWCSS,analyze its stress distribution, and to evaluate its biomechanical properties, thereby providing theoretical basis for its clinical application.METHODS:The bend strength of HTWCSS and traditional nails were measured via three-point bending experiments.Transverse fractures of the middle tibia were simulated using finite element method, and then the force and stress distribution of the two different nails were analyzed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The average maximum load of HTWCSS was 3.52 kN and 1.81 kN at span of 20 mm and 30 mm,respectively, which were larger than those of the traditional nails.(2) The average maximum displacement and the stress of HTWCSS were smaller than those of the traditional screws in finite element analysis, and the stress distribution was relatively dispersed.(3) The average maximum axial displacement and stress HTWCSS,traditional interlocking screws, wooden club-shaped screws and traditional screws were 131 MPa and 3.27 mm,162 MPa and 4.07 mm,26.5 MPa and 0.323 mm,and 34.3 MPa and 0.407 mm,respectively.(4) These results suggest that HTWCSS has relative high bend strength, and it is able to disperse stress and improve fatigue strength bend strength, further reduce screw broken.

ABSTRACT

In view of the characteristics of the computerized system, the key points in the quality assurance (QA) of the computerized system was discussed and summarized combined with the requirements of the GLP laboratory in Europe and America. The validation of computerized system, the control during the use of computerized system, period maintenance and safety protection of computerized system, archives of electronic data was discussed, expecting to provide reference for the management of computerized system in Chinese GLP laboratory which is generally not high currently. The experiences were obtained as follow:Through repeated inspection and review, the problem was found and set as the risk point;a targeted QA inspection plan was made focusing on the risk-based inspection and the QA inspection plan was timely adjusted according to the problems, which ensures the pertinence and validity of the QA inspection.

ABSTRACT

There is emerging evidence from clinical studies that the existence of liver cancer stem cells(CSCs)or tumor initiating cells is responsible for the high recurrence rates of tumor, generation of metastasis, and resistance to therapeutic regimens after therapy. Here, the characteristics of liver CSCs,clinical manifestation, molecular signaling Wnt/β-catenin,signal transducers and activators of transcription 3,NANOG,annexin A3/c-Jun N-terminal kinase, and chapter four-transmembrane 4 L six family member 5/CD44 in liver CSC self-renewal were briefly reviewed. In addition, potential targets for drug therapy were analyzed, providing some reference for drug discovery that selectively target liver CSC self-renewal signals.

ABSTRACT

HLA-G belongs to non-classical HLA-class Ⅰ genes. It is expressed in the fetal-maternal interface on the extravillous cytotrophoblast and in such immune privilege tissues as the cornea and pancreas. However, under pathological conditions, such as tumor, inflammatory diseases and post transplantation, HLA-G is expressed abnormally.HLA-G can interact with its acceptors or immune cells and suppress the function of immune cells, which facilitates the escape of the surveillance of the human immune system and the consequent damage. In clinical studies,HLA-G is related to some clinical parameters. This review will focus on the expression, function and regulatory mechanisms of HLA-G in cancer immunology.
