ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To compare the therapeutic effect of Tongdu Tiaoqi acupuncture (acupuncture for unblocking governor vessel and regulating qi ) combined with warming acupuncture, Tongdu Tiaoqi acupuncture, abdominal moxibustion and oral tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained release capsule on postoperative urinary retention.@*METHODS@#A total of 120 patients with postoperative urinary retention were randomized into an acupuncture-moxibustion group, an acupuncture group, a moxibustion group and a medication group, 30 cases in each group. Tongdu Tiaoqi acupuncture combined with warming acupuncture were applied in the acupuncture-moxibustion group. Tongdu Tiaoqi acupuncture was applied at Baihui (GV 20), Shuigou (CV 26) etc. in the acupuncture group. Moxibustion was applied at Qihai (CV 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), Shuidao (ST 28) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) in the moxibustion group. Tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained release capsule was given orally in the medication group. The treatment was once a day, and 5-day treatment was required in each group. Before and after treatment, the residual urine volume of bladder, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score and the time of first urethral catheter removal were observed, and the clinical efficacy was compared in the 4 groups.@*RESULTS@#After treatment, the residual urine volume of bladder was decreased compared before treatment in the 4 groups (P<0.05), and that in the acupuncture-moxibustion group was less than the other 3 groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores were decreased compared before treatment in the acupuncture-moxibustion group, the acupuncture group and the moxibustion group (P<0.05), and those in the 3 groups were lower than the medication group (P<0.05). The time of first urethral catheter removal in the acupuncture-moxibustion group was earlier than the other 3 groups (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 93.3% (28/30) in the acupuncture-moxibustion group, which was superior to 63.3% (19/30) in the acupuncture group, 60.0% (18/30) in the moxibustion group and 66.7% (20/30) in the medication group (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#The therapeutic effect of Tongdu Tiaoqi acupuncture combined with warming acupuncture on postoperative urinary retention is superior to simple acupuncture, abdominal moxibustion and tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained release capsule.

ABSTRACT

@#Myopia has become a common disease in the world. In our country, myopia shows a trend of high incidence and young age. Myopia affects people's psychological development. As a unique psychological characteristic that distinguishes it from others, personality is also associated with myopia. Most patients with myopia are mainly introverted personality and emotional personality, but some studies have shown that myopia patients have not yet had personality traits that are significantly different from ordinary people. This article reviews the related literatures at home and abroad to review the research progress of myopia factors from the relationship between myopia and personality factors, the interaction of the two.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:WWOX,a tumor suppressor gene, can affect the growth of ovarian cancer stem cells;however, there is no report on whether its mechanism of action is related to Hedgehog signaling pathway.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect and mechanism of overexpression of WWOX on the apoptosis of ovarian cancer stem cells.METHODS:pcDNA3.1-WWOX (pcDNA3.1-WWOX group) and pcDNA4.0-WWOX (pcDNA4.0-WWOX group) were transferred into ovarian cancer stem cells, respectively;and meanwhile,pcDNA3.1 (pcDNA3.1 group) and pcDNA4.0 (pcDNA4.0 group) were transferred into the cells.A non-transfection group (only with Lipofectamine2000) was set up.After cultured 48 hours, the levels of WWOX in the pcDNA3.1-WWOX group and pcDNA4.0-WWOX group were detected using western blot assay, and the cell proliferation and apoptosis were detected using MTT assay and flow cytometry, respectively.Western blot assay was also used to detect the levels of Hedgehog signaling pathway associated proteins,SHH,PTCH1,Gli-1,SMO and apoptosis-related protein Cleaved Caspase-3 in the cells.Cyclopamine,Hedgehog signaling pathway inhibitor, was used in ovarian cancer stem cells without transfection (cyclopamine group) and after the transfection of WWOX overexpression vector (WWOX+cyclopamine group) followed by 48 hours of culture, and then MTT,flow cytometry and western blot detections were performed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The expression level of WWOX in the pcDNA4.0-WWOX group was significantly higher than that in the pcDNA3.1-WWOX group (t=27.84,P=0.00).The ovarian cancer stem cells which were transfected with pcDNA4.0-WWOX were used to overexpress WWOX in the late experiment.(2) Overexpression of WWOX could inhibit the proliferation of ovarian cancer stem cells and promote the apoptosis of ovarian cancer stem cells.(3) Overexpression of WWOX could inhibit the expression of Gii-1,PTCH1,SMO and SHH in ovarian cancer stem cells, and promote the expression of Cleaved Caspase-3.(4) Cyclopamine could inhibit the expression of SHH,PTCH 1,Gli-1,SMO,and promote the expression of Cleaved Caspase-3.Cyclopamine had obvious inhibitory effect on Hedgehog signaling pathway.(5) Cyclopamine could enhance the apoptosis induced by overexpression of WWOX in ovarian cancer stem cells, and enhance the inhibition of proliferation of ovarian cancer stem cells induced by overexpression of WWOX.To conclude,WWOX effects on proliferation and apoptosis of ovarian cancer stem cells may be related to the inhibition of Hedgehog signaling pathway.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the classification of etiology in 48 patients with acute isolated pontine infarction (IPI),a special subtype of ischemic stroke, according to the characteristics of Chinese ischemic stroke subclassification (CISS) and Kumral ischemic stroke subclassification. Methods The basic characteristics, risk factors, clinical manifestations of 48 acute IPI patients were analyzed according to the CISS and Kumral ischemic stroke subclassification. Results Hypertension (70.83 %),smoking (64.58 %),hyperlipidemia (50.00 %),and abnormal glucose metabolism (37.50%) were the major risk factors for acute IPI.Of the 48 acute IPI patients,38 (79.17%) manifestated as hemiplegia and 15 (31.25%) manifestated as dizziness,33 (68.75%) were diagnosed as paramedian pontine infarction,a most common location of IPI,16 (33.33%) were diagnosed as large artery occlusion,a major subtype of IPI,according to the Kumral ischemic stroke subclassification,17 (35.42%) were diagnosed as intracranial and extracranial large artery atherosclerosis according to the CISS (P=0.830).Conclusion IPI is mainly manifested as paramedian pontine infarction.Large artery occlusion according to the Kumral ischemic stroke subclassification and intracranial and extracranial large artery atherosclerosis according to the CISS are the major subtypes of IPI.IPI is diagnosed when a large part of brainstem is involved.
