ABSTRACT

Objective:To master the provincial-level quality assessment of the self-inspection projects for control and evaluation of drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis in the counties (cities, districts) of Henan Province, so as to ensure the quality of self-inspection.Methods:Totally 30 counties (cities, districts) with drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis in Henan Province were selected as project counties (cities, districts), using consulting and checking data, on-site investigation and review, the implementation of self-inspection projects were audited. The water improvement and the water fluorine content, and the prevalence of dental fluorosis in children aged 8-12 were investigated in villages with drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis, and the provincial-level quality assessment of the self-inspection projects was carried out. Results:A total of 99 villages with drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis in 30 counties (cities, districts) were investigated, and all 30 counties (cities, districts) completed the investigation task of self-inspection projects. A total of 99 water samples were collected, and there were 23 counties (cities, districts) with the same results of county (city, district) self-inspection and provincial-level review of water fluorine, accounting for 76.67%; a total of 5 815 children aged 8-12 were investigated, there were 18 counties (cities, districts) with the same results of county (city, district) self-inspection and provincial-level review of dental fluorosis detection rate, accounting for 60.00%.Conclusions:The self-inspection projects of control and evaluation of drinking water-borne endemic fluorosis at the county (city, district) level in Henan Province are completed well. Most of the self-inspection projects are consistent with the provincial-level review results, but the disease diagnosis ability of grass-roots professional personnel and the detection technical level of laboratory technician in some counties (cities, districts) need to be improved.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the enhancement effect of different concentrations of contrast media on blood vessels and hollow organs in CT enterography. Methods:Sixty patients with CT enterography were enrolled from January to August 2019 at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, and were prospectively randomly divided into three groups (group A: 90 ml 400 mg/ml contrast media, group B: 90 ml 350 mg/ml contrast media, and group C: 79 ml 400 mg/ml contrast media). Evaluation parameters included CT value, signal noise ratio (SNR) and contrast noise ratio (CNR) of main abdominal vessels (abdominal aorta, superior and inferior mesenteric atery, jejunal artery, ileum artery, superior and inferior mesenteric vein), jejunum, ileum and inflammatory bowel disease. The overall image quality and direct jejunum ileum artery quality scores were evaluated. One-way ANOVA was used to compare the parameters among the three groups. Results:There was no statistical difference in CT value, SNR and CNR of each measurement index among the three groups in plain scan ( P>0.05). The CT value, SNR and CNR of abdominal aorta, superior mesenteric artery, inferior mesenteric artery, jejunal artery and ileal artery in group A and C were higher than those in group B in arterial phase ( P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between group A and group C ( P>0.05). The CT value, SNR and CNR of superior mesenteric vein, inferior mesenteric vein, normal jejunum, ileum and inflammatory lesions in group A were higher than those in group B and C in venous phase ( P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between group B and group C ( P>0.05). The overall image quality scores of group A, B and C were (3.8±0.7), (3.4±0.6), (3.4±0.6), respectively, with no significant difference ( F=3.075, P=0.054). The direct jejunum ileum artery scores of the three groups were (3.5±0.5), (3.1±0.5), (3.4±0.5), respectively, the difference was statistically significant ( F=3.684, P=0.031). Conclusion:At the same injection rate and scanning parameters, contrast media at 400 mg/ml can provide better vessel and hollow organ enhancement.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO NPs) on the oxidative damage in human alveolar type Ⅱ epithelial cell line A549.METHODS: The A549 cells in logarithmic growth phase were incubated with ZnO NPs solution at dose of 0,10,20 and 40 mg/L as 4 dose groups. The levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS) were measured by flow cytometer after 4 hours of exposure. The malondialdehyde(MDA) content and super oxide dismutase(SOD) activity were measured by microplate reader after 8 hours of exposure.RESULTS: The ROS levels in A549 cells exposed to 10,20,40 mg/L ZnO NPs were significantly increased compared with control group(P<0.05).The level of ROS increased with the exposure dose of ZnO NPs in A549 cells(P<0.01).The activities of SOD in A549 cells exposed to 10,20,40 mg/L ZnO NPs were significantly decreased compared with control group(P<0.05).The level of MDA and the ratios of MDA/SOD increased compared with control group(P<0.05).The activity of SOD in A549 cells decreased with the increase of ZnO NPs exposure dose(P<0.01),and the level of MDA and the ratios of MDA/SOD increased with the increase of exposure(P<0.01).CONCLUSION: ZnO NPs could induce lipid peroxidation in A549 cells with a dose-effect relationship.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Jiangtang Mixture combined with ear acupuncture for type 2 diabetic insulin resistance(IR).Methods Totally 120 cases of type 2 diabetic IR were randomly and equally divided into western medicine(Metformin) group,Chinese medicine (Jiangtang Mixture) group and Chinese medicine with ear acupuncture group. The treatment lasted for one month. The therapeutic effect, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS),postprandial 2 hours plasma glucose(P2hPG),hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),blood fat, insulin Sensitivity index(ISI) and insulin resistance index(IRI) were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate in Chinese medicine with ear acupuncture group was 92.5%,which was superior to those in Chinese medicine group (P

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effect and safety of Yufeng Ningxin drop pills in treating nervous headache with blood- stasis syndrome. Methods A double- blind,randomized,parallel- control and multi- center trial was carried out.Treatment group was treated by Yufeng Ningxin drop pills (15 pills, tid) and placebo tablet (5 tablets, tid); Yufeng Ningxin tablet (5 tablets, tid) and placebo drop pills(15 pills, tid) served as positive control. The course of treatment lasted 4 weeks. There were 60 patients in every group. Results No significant differences were found in total therapeutic effect rate( 90 % in both two groups) ,effective rate in relieving symptoms and signs( 95 % in treatment group and 91.6 % in control group) ,attacking frequency of headache,lasting- time of headache, average lasting- time of each time of headache, severity of headache, scoring of headache and scoring of symptoms and signs between the two groups. Conclusion Both Yufeng Ningxin drop pills and Yufeng Ningxin tablet are effective and safe in treating nervous headache. No obvious adverse reaction is found. 
