ABSTRACT

Breast cancer is globally the most common invasive cancer in women and remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and endocrine therapy are currently the main treatments for this cancer type. However, some breast cancer patients are prone to drug resistance related to chemotherapy or immunotherapy, resulting in limited treatment efficacy. Consequently, traditional Chinese medicinal materials (TCMMs) as natural products have become an attractive source of novel drugs. In this review, we summarized the current knowledge on the active components of animal-derived TCMMs, including Ophiocordycepssinensis-derived cordycepin, the aqueous and ethanolic extracts of O.sinensis, norcantharidin (NCTD), Chansu, bee venom, deer antlers, Ostreagigas, and scorpion venom, with reference to marked anti-breast cancer effects due to regulating cell cycle arrest, proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis, and drug resistance. In future studies, the underlying mechanisms for the antitumor effects of these components need to be further investigated by utilizing multi-omics technologies. Furthermore, large-scale clinical trials are necessary to validate the efficacy of bioactive constituents alone or in combination with chemotherapeutic drugs for breast cancer treatment.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the effect of teacher training to provide reference for teachers' teaching methods in the standardization of clinical resident training.Method The teachers carried out five days of teacher training.Teacher training adopted the method of theory teaching and group discussion. The main content of the training had a "daily rounds with teaching","the proper use of ORIME evaluation","feedback of sandwich type","a minute tutor teaching method","SOAP method to report cases".Before the training,100 residents were randomly selected to evaluate the teaching in teaching teachers through self-designed questionnaire. After the training, the questionnaire survey was conducted among 100 residents again. All data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 22.0.The measurement data were represented by (mean or + standard deviation),and the date were compared by t test. Results Residents believed that after the teacher training, teachers' teaching level improved (P<0.05).The three aspects of "general and phased learning goals","training students' clinical thinking ability through questions","requiring students to report cases and give guidance and feedback" were the most obvious. The pre training score was (3.28 ± 0.92) (3.31 ± 1.12) (3.55 ± 0.85),and the corresponding score was after training (3.98 ±0.85) (4.19 ± 0.85) (4.11 ± 0.74).Conclusion From the comparison of the survey results before and after the residents, the teachers' teaching modes, skills and methods have been improved after receiving teachers' training.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the oral resonance differences between normal children and children with spastic cerebral palsy, and to explore the oral resonance characteristics of children with spastic cerebral palsy.Meth-ods A total of 15 cases of preschool children with spastic cerebral palsy and 25 cases of normal preschool children were included in this study. The first and second formants on each group of children of Chinese vowels/a/,/i/,/u/core,were extracted and analyzed by Dr speech software. Results There were no significant difference of/a/F1,/a/F2,/u/F1 between two groups (P>0.05);/i/F1 and/u/F2 had a significant difference (P<0.05);/i/F2 had a high degree of statistical significance (P<0.01).Conclusion Children with spastic cerebral palsy are prone to oral resonance while most oral resonance disorder of children with cerebral palsy is post focusing and mixed oral res-onance disorder;/i/F2 and/u/F2 can provide a meaningful reference for speech and oral resonance disorders evalua-tion of children with cerebral palsy.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the effect of Angelicae Sinensis Decoction for Supplementing Blood on mesangium cell proliferation,TGF-?1 mRNA and NF-?B under high glucose. Methods:①Thiazole blue (MTT) colorimetric method was used to observe the dynamic state of mesangium cell proliferation in various treatment factors; ② Fluorescent quantitation polymerase chain reaction (Real time-PCR) was used to detect the expression of transforming growth factor beta 1 mRNA in mesangium cells under various treatment factors; ③Western-blot was used to detect the expression of nuclear factor-kappa B in mesangium cells under various treatment factors. Results:In vitro cultured mesangium cells obviously proliferated under the stimulation of high glucose; the expression of TGF-?1 mRNA and NF-?B in mesangium cells increased (P

ABSTRACT

AIM: To test and verify the effect of Shexiang Baoxin Pills(SXBXW) on treating acute vertigo. METHODS: Sixty patients with acute vertigo were randomly assigned to the treatment group(40 cases) and the control group(20 cases). The treatment group was given four pills of SXBXW by sublingually. The control group was drip-fed Betahistine Hydrochloride and Sodium Injection 250 mL. Both groups were drip-fed normal saline injection 250 mL plus Vitamine B_6 0.2g at the same time. RESULTS: After three hours of observation, both the drugs could significantly reduce the sympton of acute vertigo, and its therapeutic efficacies were similar. CONCLUSION: SXBXW has obvious therapeutic efficacy and less side effect.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To investigate the protective mechanism of Danggui Buxue Decoction(Radix Astragali,Radix Angelieae Sinensis) on the kidney of diabetic rats. METHODS: The diabetic animal model was made by a single intraperitoneal injection of 60 mg/kg streptozotocin(STZ) and treated with Danggui Buxue Decoction(DBD) or Benazepril. Renal weight/body weight ratio, blood glucose and lipid, urinary albumin and ? 2-microglobin were measured. The renal pathological lesions were also investigated. The expression of TGF-? 1 mRNA in renal cortex as well as Angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) concentration of plasma and kidney tissue were determined by In situ hybridization and radioimmunoassay after 4,8 weeks of treatment. RESULTS:DBD had equivalent effects with Benazepril in protecting renal function and alleviating pathologic lesions. By means of inhibiting the expression of of TGF-? 1 mRNA. DBD had no effect on renal and plasmaAngⅡ. CONCLUSION:Danggui Buxue Decoction may alleviate kidney lesion and slow down the progression of DN by decreasing the renal expression of TGF-? 1 mRNA.
